3 YOUR TASK: CREATE A RESOURCE BOOKAs your first project, I would like you to create an accordion folded reference book that demonstrates your understanding of the elements and principles. These are the foundation for all other designs. There are several ways this can be done which are outlined below.

4 CHOICESThere are several ways you can create demonstrate your understanding of the E & Ps in the book. Below are your three options. You can use one or all of these options in your book. The choice is yours.

A. TYPOGRAPHICAL ILLUSTRATIONSJust as you did with the Typographical Portrait project, you can demonstrate the principles through the way in which you draw them.

B. IMAGE SEARCHING FROM A MAGAZINE WITH EXPLANATIONSAll ads and visuals in magazines use the principles of design to communicate their ideas. Find examples in ads from your favorite magazines or from the paper and cut/paste them into your book.

C. WELL-CRAFTED DRAWINGS DEMONSTRATING THEIR MEANINGHand drawn, black and white, well-crafted designs that demonstrate the principles. Use line and shape for this task.
