The Marmalade Awards are sponsored by
and are proud to support
The World’s Original Marmalade Awards and Festival is held annually at Dalemain, a Georgian mansion which has been home the Hasell family and an incredibly rich archive of marmalade recipes for over 300 years. With the intial idea of preserving and growing the most British of customs - making marmalade, the Awards have grown since their inception, and now attract entries from all over
the world, from countries as far away as Japan, Brazil, and Malaysia.
2018 marks the 13th year of the Marmalade Awards and Festival. With even more to see and do in Penrith town centre for Penrith Goes Orange, we’ll be celebrating at
Dalemain Mansion with cookery demonstrations, delicious marmalade-inspired meals, treats, and drinks,
and chance to meet Paddington Bear himself.
With hundreds of marmalades from all corners of the globe available to taste in the Artisan Barn, and thousands of homemade marmalades on display in the State Rooms,
Dalemain will be transformed into a marmalade lover’s heaven!
