At first sight, spiroglyphics are nothing but simple spirals. Look a little closer, and you’ll see that each is in fact two spirals, and that each one varies slightly in width as it runs to the centre. It’s only when you pick up a pen and start to colour them that they come alive… Pick up a pen (preferably a black felt tip) and start colouring in one of the spirals. Start on the outside and work your way in, or start at the centre and work your way out – it really doesn’t matter. You may find it helps if you remove the perforated puzzle page so you can turn it under your hands. You’ll colour quickly, as the lines are forgiving, and you don’t need to worry if you‘re not the neatest at colouring. Just relax and enjoy the journey of discovery. This is a great moment to listen to your favourite music—why not put on some Bowie? You will start to see a face emerge from the pattern. It’s not too clear but you now want to see what happens when you start the second spiral. Again, from the inside or from the outside, colour in the second spiral. WHAT’S SPIROGLYPHICS? Already you can see that the result will be awesome. Now you are keen to finish. Yep, it is definitely going to be worth it. At last, and wow, and how did you do that with a simple pen? And from a spiral that looked like nothing? And isn’t the effect totally amazing? Tweet it, post it, put it on your wall. Time to start your collection. TM TM

Already you can see that the result will be awesome. Now you are keen to finish. Yep, it is definitely going to be worth it.
