The entire suite of mobile apps includes improvements to performance, scalability and usability.

Newforma apps may be used in conjunction with projects managed using Newforma Project Center and Newforma Project Cloud. An app’s functionality differs slightly depending on the project’s hosting platform and, for Newforma Project Center, the version of the NPC server. For details, keep reading.

Plans app

When used in conjunction with Newforma Project Center 11.5, you can now

sort and filter plans by associated packages managed by the Document Control activity center.

Additionally, you can now update Space set-tings for existing items.

For all Plans app users, regardless of server version, the item upload process has been sig-nificantly improved. You can now see exactly how many items are left to upload, view error information, and jump directly to an item’s detailed data for review and update.

AVAILABILITY: The Plans app is only available on the iPad.

Project Email app

The iOS version of the Project Email app now allows filtering of emails

with attachments. Simply tap on the paperclip icon (on the bottom filter bar), and the list of displayed emails will be updated to show only emails with attachments. (This feature requires Newforma Project Center 11.5.)

AVAILABILITY: The Project Email app is available on the iPad, iPhone, Android smartphones and tablets, or Windows smartphones and tablets.

Capture app

During the capture process, you can now

assign multiple spaces to an item. A new item will be created for each assigned space, significantly reducing the time and effort required to create items relevant to multiple project locations.

AVAILABILITY: The Capture app is available for iPhone and iPad.

Tasks app

The Tasks app interface has been simplified to assure

consistency between the item filters (in the left pane) and the summary pie graphs (in the right pane). All updates to the pie graph are now initiated via the filtering options.

Additionally, you can reorder the item type pie graphs using a “long tap,” or by dragging and dropping.

Lastly, you can now generate a PDF report of your items directly from the Tasks app. It’s as easy as:

• Define the items you’d like to see using the filters option in the left pane.• Select Create Report.• Choose if you want to include the photos.

You can use the standard iOS Share capability to send your report via mail or other connected services.

AVAILABILITY: The Tasks app is available for iPhone and iPad.

NOTE: The Capture and Tasks apps replace the previous Field Notes and Punch List apps, and are to be used with Newforma Project Center release 10.2 and later.

Project Teams app

You can now export contacts to other apps, such as Phone, Message, and Mail.
