Confined Feeding Operation Stewardship

The program covers 50% of eligible costs for

most project categories. Some are funded at

70% or 30% to a maximum of $100,000 per

applicant, though some categories have

project maximums between $15,000 and

$50,000.

On-Farm Energy Management

For most items the program covers

50% of eligible costs, to a maximum of

$50,000. Some items are funded on a

square-footage or formula basis. The

program also covers 100% of the cost

for each applicant’s first three

submeters.

On-Farm Stewardship

Producers in livestock and crop production will be

reimbursed for 30%, 50% or 70% (depending on the

project) of costs related to management practices

that improve water quality in the areas outlined

above, to a maximum of $50,000 per applicant.

Please note that some areas of funding have project

maximums between $2,000 and $30,000.

On-Farm Water ManagementStandard Incentive projects include construction of water sources such as wells, dugouts, spring developments, dams and pipelines. These projects are eligible for reimbursement of up to one-third of expenses, to a maximum of $5,000 per applicant.

Special Incentive projects include well decommissioning, well pit conversions, water meters, water well depth measurement equipment, and connections to multi-user water supply pipelines. These projects are eligible for reimbursement of up to 50% of expenses, to a specified maximum per applicant or project
