I absolutely love the way these design pages look, with parts of the cars being unfinished makes them seem like lose sketches and I can relate to this style of drawing and incorporate it in to my own designs at a later stage.

Travelogue As you approach Mae you will have noticed the desert rocks. The strange thing about these rocks is that they’re shaped like giant boulders on one side, all smooth as if they’ve been through decades of being violently struck with sledge hammers chip away at the sharp edges. On the other side all jagged and fill with shape edges still holding the original shape and forms, Seems like it won’t be long until these rocks worn out and left to nothing but a flat plain. When you walk in to the city you realise that Mae is more like a village or a small town as there are no tall buildings to be seen. At most, the tallest buildings in Mae are four stories high. Strangely every the buildings are arrange in the same direction, with the length going from the west to east. The exterior of the buildings all look same, not in shape or design but rather the material (matted white sheets) that covers them. The in habitants have found a way to mass produce this material from trees or any plant life they can get their hands on. This tough leather-like material is always on demand monthly as houses get rebuild a lot in this city. Mae is located in the middle of a desert lands, surrounded by nothing but sand rocks and dirt. It is amazing how the inhabitant manage to survive in such harsh environment. The only source of water the people have is vase oasis ten miles to the north where there is a small forest. That is the only place in the whole of the land that you’ll see any sign of life, rich with green and filled with all kinds of animal. Forty per cent of the population make the earning by going to the oasis and bringing back whatever they could that would sell. Whether its water, meat or even plants and trees. To travel there, the people use camels but not for long because the number of camel left in the city steadily dropping. They’ll soon have to find other means of transport.

The city is filled with construction sites. It will never finish rebuilding itself. Without a fail, every full moon a vicious storm strikes the city with rage, destroying buildings and structure I the process. A lifespan of an average building is one to two years at most depending on how well it was constructed. Many of the population are master carpenters due to this unnatural phenomenal. No one really knows how or why these storms occur. Many say that the moon spirit is very unhappy with the people have been mistreating the land. Some say a powerful witch has curst that land that used to be her home with these awful assaults. Others say that these are nothing but myths and tales you tell to children because they believe that the storms are just unfortunate natural occurrences which are incredibly inconvenience for the people of Mae. For some unknown reason these storms always charge at the city from the west. Occasionally bringing along objects and items that the people have never seen before for heard of before. In the centre of Mae stands the largest building in the entire city. This dome like structure is a museum dedicated to the things that the storms brought to the city. Every single one of these objects is displayed with the time and date of their arrival. Some people view these things as if they’re art pieces. Others see them as cursed relics and thinks that nothing good can come from keeping them.Every day outside the museum, children gather around this old man who tells stories of how a long time ago the land used to be packed vegetation. Everywhere you look the colour green can’t seem to leave your site. He talks about how he has visited that time and experienced it for himself. Of course being children, they believed him and thinks that one day, they themselves could experience it too. The adults on the other hand would call him a crazy old man who has lived way too long to be sane and would warn their children to stay away from him.Mae is a city you don’t want to live in but if you are born there you simply don’t have a choice. There has been countless individual who try to leave in search for other civilisations but return after weeks in disappointment of their dreams being crush. There is no hope for the poor people but to live and survive in in this supposedly cursed land.
