Editing evaluation:Your editing evaluation is a good way to increase your grades by reflecting on what you did and why you did it. To get the top marks you have to show how you applied editing preparation techniques to a technical quality that reflects near-professional standards, working independently to professional expectations.

Check that you have explained the following in your evaluation:

- how you stored your tapes / cards in an safe & accessible way- how you clarified the purpose of the work with your films director / brief (eg/

how long did the film have to be?)- how you set up your bins- how you imported / log & captured / log & transferred your clips- how you checked the material for faults (whilst logging? after importing?)- how you named your clips (explain this in detail)- how you identified good / bad footage before editing (explain this in detail)- what you did with useless footage. - how you set the capture scratch - how you set the project settings to the right format / standard (ie/ PAL, HD

etc…)- what editing techniques did you use?- What video filters / adjustments did you use?- Why?- How did it / they work?- What audio filters / adjustments did you use?- Why?- How did it / they work?- How did you export your video? - did you export it in this format?
