It was not until April 19, 1984, that green and gold were officially declared Australia's national sports colours by the then Governor-General, Sir Ninian Stephen.
HISTORY
It was the green and gold of Australia’s landscape of many species of wattle, which won the decision.
They are used by Australians when representing their county in international sporting events.
