PAPER STRUCTURE
- 2 main areas: understanding and steering/guiding volunteers (link with WG4)- What types pf volunteering, what types of volunteers- What motivates them, how to engage them- How to reward them, make them feel wanted and involved- When to use VGI, when not, what to avoid - Organizing and coordinating VGI projects- Training volunteers (link with WG4)- Validation and monitoring (steering in the right direction, gamification)- retaining interest, long-term commitment
- Remaining challenges: - boundaries of the mapping constraint- Link and overlap with WG1 and WG4

ACTUAL RESEARCH
STSM starting next week (Post-doc Steven Verstockt, UniGhent - Citizen guidance in 3D mapping of cultural heritage)
- 3 months stay, will feed into the gamification work
- Plan to get review draft finished by end of August
- Also WG2 paper with STSM
