ISO/IEC 38500 Governance of IT for the organization Provides guiding principles for members of governing bodies of organizations on the effective, efficient and acceptable use of IT within their organizations.
Sets out six principles of good governance: ◦ Responsibility
◦ Strategy
◦ Acquisition
◦ Performance
◦ Conformance
◦ Human Behaviour
Describes a model for governing which consists of three main tasks
◦ Evaluate the current and future use of IT
◦ Direct preparation and implementation of strategies and policies
◦ Monitor conformance to policies and performance against strategies
OASIS Transformational Government Framework A practical, “How To” standard for the design and implementation of an effective program of technology-enabled change at national, state or local government level.
The underlying goal is to transform government from unconnected vertical silos of government functions to deliver services based on user needs.
Structured as a series of “patterns” within a TGF “pattern language”.
Aimed primarily at Political and administrative leaders responsible for shaping public sector reform and e Government strategies and policies (at national, state/regional and city/local levels).

◦ Critical success factors

Regularly scheduled meetings help with planning
Follow the JTC 1/ SD 19 meeting rules (alternate between 1300 UTC and 2100 UTC)

◦ Use it to schedule meetings and send out the invitations
◦ Share the screen, give controls to other presenters/contributors
◦ Look for “raise of hand” to ensure all input/questions are addressed
