YOUTH CAN CREATE CHANGE... TODAY
"I don't really think that youth are our future. Youth are right now. This is the environment
that they are going to be able to create for their future, for my future, for everyone's future, but
they can create change, right now, today."

YOUTH PREVENTIONACTIVITIES
When I was in the 7th grade, my mom had a stroke. I had no idea what was happening. I called my Dad and he instructed me to get my next door neighbor, Bobbie, and he would be home soon.
When Bobbie walked in the house he took one look and said my mom was having a stroke. I walked down the street to meet my brother. I had to keep him far away from the house, so my dad and Bobbie could put my mom in the truck without my brother seeing. When my dad drove away, I didn’t know if I would
A few hours later, my aunt came and picked me and my brother up so we could go see my mom. We got to the hospital and the nurses were getting ready to take her to the ICU. My brother didn’t have a lot of time to see her. We still didn’t know
Stress and smoking caused the stroke. Stress and smoking my mom.
I don’t want other kids and families to have to go through what we did. It’s something that affects us everyday. This is why the youth coalition is so important to me. I can my story and in my community.
