Exeter International Airport provides an ever increasing number of domestic and international flights including two flights a day to London City Airport.
The HallWeycroft Hall dates back to the early 15th Century and retains the character and architectural features expected in a period property. Set in the middle of approximately 2.37 acres of gardens and surrounded by its own land, the Hall enjoys a peaceful position.
Currently being used as a charitable retreat, the hall has been established with a number of dormitory bedrooms above the working rooms. The ground floor accommodation comprises of an entrance hall with stairs to the upper floors and a flag stone floor. An inner hall leads to a drawing room on the left with oak panelled walls, exposed beams and a fireplace. To the right is the great hall, a stunning room with a double height ceiling, exposed roof trusses, flag stone floor and a minstrel’s gallery. A server, preparation room, kitchen and cloakroom complete the ground floor. On the first floor there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. A further three bedrooms and family bathroom are on the second floor.
The AnnexeIntegral to the main property is the annexe. Currently used separately, the accommodation is accessed from the main house and the courtyard and could be incorporated back into the main house. The ground floor comprises a sitting room, dining area and kitchen/breakfast room. Upstairs is a bedroom with an ensuite shower room, a further ensuite bedroom and a sitting room/bedroom three.
The OutbuildingsThe Cottage: Set behind Weycroft Hall, and accessed off the rear drive is the cottage; this has an open plan living area with a kitchen on the first floor and a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. The barn behind is currently set up as a dormitory with two bedroom spaces, showers and WCs.
The Office/Games room A two storey timber fronted building with a games room and WC on the ground floor and an office on the first floor. A courtyard to the front provides additional parking.
OutsideWeycroft Hall is approached over a gravelled drive leading past the lodge, through the gardens and to the front of the Hall where there is parking for several cars. The beautiful south facing gardens are well maintained and mainly laid to lawn with flowering borders, paths through topiary hedges and many established trees. There is a walled vegetable garden to the side of the cottage and a further walled garden to the rear of the annexe. There is a drive to the west of the Hall leading to the office/games room and cottage.
The land is a mixture of pastureland, arable land and woodland. To the west of the property is the river Axe and some of the farmland has a river frontage. Weycroft Hall has the fishing rights along this stretch of The Axe.
Lot 2 – A detached 1920’s lodge with three bedrooms, sitting room, dining room and a kitchen. There is a detached garage and small gardens approximately 0.1 of an acre, to the rear and side of the house.
Lot 3 – Set to the North of Weycroft Hall is Lot 3, a parcel of 9.01 acres, which provides a paddock of approximately 6.64 acres of pastureland and an area of woodland. This provides a useful pony paddock whilst also providing protection to the hall.
Lot 4 – Lot 4 provides a block of 34.67 acres of pastureland and woodland running down to the river Axe. Accessed at various points off the public highway this parcel lies adjacent to Lot 3.
Lot 5 – Situated to the West of Weycroft Hall is Lot 5, 35.69 acres, which provides a block of arable land running through to an area of pastureland. This parcel is also accessed off the public highway through several different gateways.
