T he most recent sales release at Thornton in North Penrith attracted a large number of keen

buyers wishing to live in the new urban community in the heart of Penrith.

Held over the last weekend of March, the latest sales release included 30 house and land pack-ages. 29 were sold in a matter of hours and a further two premium land lots overlooking the new community were also sold during the weekend.

Prices started from $454,770 for a three-bedroom Patio Home with the average home price at $524,700. The sales release also included larger four-bedroom courtyard and patio homes right up to dual occupancy homes (fi ve-bedroom courtyard homes with separate two-bedroom loft apartments).

DeSanti, previously residents of Winmalee, were devastated by the bush fi res last October, and bought a single storey three-bedroom garden home.

W ith research suggesting half of all Australians will be diagnosed with

cancer before the age of 85, the fi ght for a cure is becoming all the more desperate.

Dukes Estate Agents in Penrith know the aff ects that cancer has on a person and their families all too well and as a result, are taking part in this year’s Relay for Life.

The annual relay, one of the

Cancer Council’s largest fund-raising and awareness yearly campaigns, is set to take place in Penrith on the weekend of May 3.

The local estate agents are hoping to raise part of the $350,000 goal for Penrith this year.

“There are a few of us in the offi ce who have been aff ected by cancer, with some of us losing loved ones in the past,” said Dukes Estate Agents Penrith’s Rebecca Taylor.

Dukes Estate Agents’ entire offi ce is getting involved and

will be holding a fundraiser this weekend, to raise money to be donated to the Cancer Council for research.

They will be holding a fundrais-ing barbeque on Saturday, April 12, at the Dukes Cottage, 281 Great Western Highway, Emu Plains, from 11am.

There will be a sausage sizzle and raffl e with many prizes to be won, including a Penrith Panthers jersey.
