    and no person shall drive a nail into any part of thehail, windows, floors, doors, etc., or otherwise defacethe hail. All decorations used, in connection with anyentertainment must be removed from the premises anddisposed of to the satisfaction of- the secretary orcaretaker within twenty-four hours from the cons-

    - mencement of time hiring period ; provided that, withthe consent of the secretary first had and obtained,each decorations may be perusitteci to remain.

    10. Hirers shall make their own arrangements fortime safety of anything left in time cloak rooms or anypart of time hall, and the Board will accept no liability.

    11. The Board may grant to any person or companya lease for the exclusive right to hire the hall forshowing sound or other pictures for any period on suchnights weekly, as may be required.

    12. The Board reserves the right to accept or retnscto hire the hail or any room or crockeryware to rioapplicant for time hire of same, without assigning areason for such refusal.

    13. The Board may at any time cancel aim agree-macnt niade for hiring time hail or any room or crockery-ware, by giving twenty-four (24) hours' notice otherthan a contract made for the hire of time ball formotion pictures. The nights granted to picture proprietors uisdcr any contract shall not be available tothe public for renting the hail or stage.

    14. In the event of two or more applications beingmade for the hire of any hall or room for the samedate and hour the Board may, withont consideringpriority of application, determine to which applicantthe hire of the hail or room shall be granted.

    15. The hirer of the hall or room shall comply withthe. provisions of the Health Act, tIme EntertainmentsTax, or any other Act in force for the time beingapplicable to such hiring or using any ball or room.If in the opinion of the Board all the necessary actionshave not been taken to comply with the provisions ofthe Aets mentioned above, time Board may at any timeprior' to or during the term of engagement forbid andprevent the use of any hall or room.

    16. In the event of the use of any hall us' roombeing forbidden or prevented nuder the last precedingby-law, the hirer shall forfeit the full amount payablefor the hire of such hall or room as if the hire hadbeen duly fulfilled, and the Board shall not he respon-sible for any loss or damage incurred by time hirer.

    17. No fermented or spirituons liquors shall hebrouhmt into or consumed iii the hall or any room, eX-cept -when permitted by the Board in writing.

    (e) stand, loiter, or cause any obstruction whatso-ever in the passageways or other parts ofthe hall.     The hirer of the hall or any room shah main-tain and keep good order and decent behaviour in suchhall or room, and shall be solely asid entirely respon-sible for the carrying out of these by-laws and for anydamage done to the buildings, fixtures, fittings, electriclight globes, electric light fittings, furniture, orcrockery-ware, and shall pay such damages as shall hoassessed by the Board. Any article or crockery-warenot accounted los' or in a cracked or broken conditionshall be paid for at current rates or prices.

    The secretary, caretaker, or other duly author-ised offices of the Board, or Police eoustahle whimdressed in muforni or otherwise, it' know-n as such tothe lures' om' ins servant, shall be permitted to havelice ingress to the ball or any room at all times dur-ing the term of engagement, and shall be given everyfacility for seeing that these by-laws are duly carriedout.

    Every person who does, permits, or suffers anyact, matter, or tiling contrary to any of these by-laws,or commits or permits any breach or neglect thereof,shall he liable on conviction to a pesiolty not exeeediug'£20 for every such conviction.
