Cutting Instructions - ContinuedPlease note: all strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted.

Sewing InstructionsRunner:1. Use the 3” x WOF Fabric F strips to border the bank strip. Sew the strips to the top and bottom of the bank strip, then sew the strips to the two sides of the strip. Trim the block to the listed size. (Fig. 1) to make the center block.

2. Place (1) 3” Fabric D square on the left side of (1) 3” x 5 ½” Fabric C strip, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 2). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

3. Place another 3” Fabric D square on the right side of the 3” x 5 ½” Fabric C strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 5). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) DCD unit.

4. Repeat Steps 2-3 to make (24) DCD units total.

Runner Top Assembly (Refer to the Runner Layout while assembling.)5. Sew (3) DCD units together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew (1) strip to each side of the center block.

6. Sew (9) DCD units together end to end. Sew (1) 3” Fabric D square to each end of the DCD strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the center block to make the runner top.

7. Layer and quilt as desired.

8. Sew the (4) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric E strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

9. Bind as desired.

11. Use the 3 ½” x WOF Fabric I strips to border the gunfighter strip. Sew the strips to each side of the panel, then the strips to the top and to the bottom of the panel. Trim the blocks to the listed size (Fig. 7).

12. Use the 2 ½” x WOF Fabric I strips to border the shotgun strip, the gun belt strip and the boots strip. Sew the strips to each side of the panel, then the strips to the top and to the bottom of the panel. Trim the blocks to the listed size (Fig. 8).

13. Sew (2) 2 ½” x 5 ½” Fabric I strips, (3) 5 ½” Fabric B squares (boots, poker chips and barrels) and (2) 2” x 5 ½” Fabric I strips together to make (1) pieced strip (Fig. 9). Sew (1) 2 ½” x 21 ½” Fabric I strip to the top of the pieced strip. Trim this block to measure 7” x 21 ½” to complete the boots/barrels strip (Fig. 10).

14. Repeat Step 13 using the Fabric B rose, cards and horseshoe squares and the Fabric I strips to make (1) 7” x 21 ½” rose/horseshoe block (Fig. 11).

19. Sew (9) 3 ½” Fabric K squares, (9) 3 ½” Fabric G squares and the boots block together to make (1) place mat top (Fig. 16).

21. Sew (15) 3 ½” Fabric D squares, (15) 3 ½” Fabric C squares and the windmill block together to make (1) place mat top (Fig. 18).

22. Sew (11) 3 ½” Fabric G squares, (10) 3 ½” Fabric L squares and the cow skull block together to make (1) place mat top (Fig. 19).

26. Sew the (18) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric E strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the bindings. Cut the strip into (8) equal lengths. Fold these strips in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

27. Bind as desired.
