MINISTER VISITATION

CAPT had the privilege of hosting the Minister for Education, Lawrence Wong,and NUS President, Professor Tan Eng Chye, on Tuesday 8th September.

During their visit, Minister Wong and Professor Tan observed the variousmeasures enacted in the College to ensure health and safety. They sat in for afew activities such as a college seminar, floorball training and even took a lookat the College's accommodation.

E-WELCOME BACK DINNER

This year's dinner may have been held over Zoom, but that did not stopCAPTains from "dressing up" for the event. CAPTains gathered in zones toenjoy food and drink together from the comfort of their own rooms (or lounges).

.Performances by R4D, Guitarpella and Jamcity drew diners in over the courseof the night. The event ended with a moving rendition of "Home", whereCAPTains belted the chorus as a united family to the College's own soundtrackarranged by Samantha Li and Marcus Tan.

OPEN MIC

Even the Covid-19 restrictions could not restrict the LIT talents that were ondisplay at Open Mic: Connection. This year, ClubSocs had the privilege ofhosting CAPT’s first ever online Open Mic. From sick dance moves to chillacoustic covers and everything in between, CAPTains were treated to an arrayof entertaining performances put up by the numerous talents that took part inOpen Mic. Congratulations to all performers who won awards:

CAPT PAL 2.0

Organised by the Student Affairs Committee (SAC), CAPT Pal 2.0 is anextension of CAPT e-FOC's CAPT Pal, where freshmen are paired with

someone from their zone orientation group and write letters to their CAPT Palover the course of e-FOC.

Over the last few weeks, freshmen have been getting to know a fellow facultybatchmate, by going out for meals, studying together, and acting as 'Angels' fortheir respective 'Mortal' pairs.

The reveal happens this Thursday, 17th Sep, from 8.30-10pm in yourrespective lounges.

GREENCAPTAINS DONATION DRIVE

GreenCAPTains along with RC4, Tembusu and USP are running a clothesdonation drive for charity across all RCs in the coming weeks.

A collection box will be placed near the printer in Flying Seed, 1st Floor from 15Sep - 17 Sep 2020. Please drop the clothes/fabric you would like to donate inthe boxes.

The clothes collected will be sold on Instagram page @nusasecondwear forfundraising. Funds go towards helping migrant workers and the deafcommunities, 2 groups of people badly impacted by Covid-19. Unsold clotheswill also be recycled to reduce textile waste.
