El Temazcal Tradicional es una ceremonia ancestral de purificación.

La palabra temazcal significa “casa de vapor” y es un ritual de una de las medicinas más antiguas en donde se integran el plano físico, mental y espiritual. Las intenciones se gestan por medio del contacto con los cuatro elementos: tierra, fuego, agua y aire, dentro de la representación del vientre de la madre Tierra. La medicina del Temazcal beneficia todos los sistemas corporales y energéticos que promueven la conexión con uno mismo, generando un efecto transformador; un encuentro místico, un nuevo nacimiento.

Esta ceremonia es dirigida por el o la X’Men, quien tiene los atributos para seguir la metodología ancestral ceremonial de la apertura de cuatro puertas y conexión con los cuatro elementos. El calor generado por piedras volcánicas bañadas en infusiones medicinales, la oscuridad que libera los sentidos de distracciones externas, la energía grupal que potencia la ceremonia, los cantos y la ofrenda de la palabra hacen de esta ceremonia un auténtico renacimiento para los participantes.

The Traditional Temazcal is an ancient purification ceremony.

The word temazcal means “steam house” and this is a ritual based on one of the oldest forms of medicine where the physical, mental and spiritual levels come together. Intentions are channeled through contact with the four elements: earth, fire, water and air, inside the representation of Mother Earth herself. The medicine of the temazcal benefits the body’s systems and energies which promote a connection to oneself, generating a transformative effect, a mystical encounter and a feeling of rebirth.

The ceremony is directed by an X’Men, a person with the attributes and knowledge to follow the ancient ceremonial ways to open the four gates connecting to the four natural elements. The heat generated by the volcanic stones bathed in medicinal teas, the darkness which liberates the senses from external distractions, the group energy which empowers the ceremony and the chants and oral tributes make this ceremony a true rebirth for the participants.

La Ceremonia Maya es un medio para acercarse y comunicarse con Yum Junab Ku’jo; el Dador de la Medida y el Movimiento de todas las cosas existentes. Es una celebración de la espiritualidad maya que revela la conexión de los recuerdos y eventos más importantes en su línea de vida. Las ceremonias mayas tienen un objetivo claro y una misión definida. Son diversos y están totalmente dedicados a las necesidades del participante. Cada ceremonia es diferente, ya que se basan en la energía de cada persona.

Uno o varios X’Men, el sacerdote maya, lleva a cabo la ceremonia. Pueden ser individuales, para una pareja o para toda la familia. Además, es posible organizarla para equipos de trabajo, de acuerdo con su objetivo o celebración común. Una ceremonia toma una o varias horas para alistarse, incluso días. Los X’Men deben preparar su espíritu para canalizar todos los elementos de la ofrenda. La ceremonia tomará hasta dos horas y el resultado es una mejor versión de aquellos involucrados.

The Maya Ceremony is a means to approach and communicate with Yum Junab Ku’jo; the Giver of Measure and Movement of all existent things. It is a celebration of Mayan spirituality that reveals the relation in your own life line of the most significant memories and events. Mayan Ceremonies have a clear objective and a determined mission. They are diverse and totally dedicated to the needs of each participant. Each ceremony is different, because they are based on each person’s energy.

The ceremonies are celebrated by one or various X’Men (Maya Priest). They could be individual, for a couple or for an entire family. Also, they can be organized for work teams, in accordance to their common goal or celebration. A ceremony takes one or several hours to prepare, even days.
