Office & Field Changes
New Location Search In Well List
You now have the ability to quickly access any UWI using the Location Search. This greatly reduces the time
needed to zero in on a specific well record.
To use this search:
1. Select “All” from the Location System drop down.
2. Begin typing part or all of the Well Location and press Enter on the keyboard. The Well List will
return results for any or all UWIs the match the parameters you chose. This procedure can be
repeated as often as you please.
3. To return to the complete Well List click on the Unfilter button.
Changes to Fluid Transfer Reporting Form
The Fluid Transfer Reporting form is now separated into two separate forms – one for Incoming Fluids (1) and a
second form for Outgoing Fluids (2), each of which allow for unlimited entries. This replaces the previous split-
page format.
You can flip between forms using the form navigation buttons in the Menu bar.

New Frac Summary Reporting Form
This report captures Frac information in Multi-leg wells and can be found in the Operations form set of
Completion-type projects (Completions, Workovers, Recompletions and Maintenance). Data entered in this
report on one project will be copied to new projects using the Add Project function and the Copy Details from
Previous Project option.
Note: Fields with drop-down selections (highlighted in yellow below) will only display options that are set by the
Office and cannot be edited in the field. If changes or new options are required to the default lists, they must be
made by an office administrator.
1. Hz Length – This is a calculated field that auto-populates from the Project Summary. It represents the
TMD for the Leg number minus the Intermediate Hole MD.

Changed Pump & Rod Report & Added Functionality
The Pump & Rod Report has been redesigned to speed the reporting process and reduce repetitive data entry.
1. Existing Tubing and Rod information (Pulled), as well as Pump descriptions, can now be auto-
populated to a new Project from the Run data of a previous Project. (See: Added Ability to Copy
Data When Adding Projects later in this document.)
2. Length, Plain and Scrape columns have been replaced with Length and Top Of fields. All fields,
including Landed At, are manual entry and do not automatically calculate.
3. Tubing and Rods Run in
the current Project can be loaded from
the data built in the List Manager of the
current Downhole Profile form.
4. Select Tally from the
dropdown.
5. The Clear button will
delete any data in the section selected.
6. Pump information is copied from a previous project using the Copy Details function when
Adding a Project.
7. New Pump information can be added for current project.
8. Rod data can also be imported from page two of the current Downhole Profile.

Added Ability to Copy Data From Previous Projects
It is now possible to copy important information from one project to another using the Add Project button in
the Well List. The Copy Data feature is only available for Completion-type projects (Completions, Workovers,
Recompletions and Maintenance).
This function is best exercised by an Office Administrator to ensure that the most recent data is being forwarded
to any new projects which can then be sent to the field supervisor. While field users also have the ability to Add
Projects, care should be taken to make certain that they have the most recent up to date project.
The following reports are included in this process:
1. Tubing Tally/Downhole Profile (user drawn) – Any existing Tallies and corresponding Profiles will be
copied to the new project and can be edited as required in the List Manager to reflect changes currently
being made at the well.
2. Pump & Rod Report – Tubing and Rods that were “Run” in the source project will auto-populate into the
Tubing and Rods “Pulled” section in the new destination project. Pulled items will display in the inverse
order of the Run items of the previous project.
3. Perforations Report – Perforations data will be copied for reference, but will now only display once
when opening the Data-Driven Downhole Diagram if multiple projects with identical data reside in the
Well List.
4. Formation Tops – This form will be copied from the previous project and can be edited as required.
5. Frac Report – This form will be copied from the previous project and can be edited as required.
6. Frac Summary Report – This form will be copied from the previous project and can be edited as
required.
1. Copy Partners – This allows you to copy partner information from the source project.
2. UWI – This auto-populates from the highlighted selection in the Well List.
3. Copy Details Selector– Check this box to include well details in your new project.
4. Source Project Selector – Select the source project from the drop-down.
5. Destination Project Selector – Select the destination project type and click Create.

Added Section To Capture Multi-Leg Well Info in Project Summaries
A Multi-Leg well is now identified in the upper left area of a Project Summary. This switch is automatically
activated if data about a second Leg is entered in the Multi-Leg Information section of the new Project Summary
forms.
1. The “TVD” field has been removed from this area as it is already represented in the Casing and Hole
section of the Project Summary.
2. The Multi-Leg Information section has been inserted to the Project Summary forms above the Contacts
and Personnel section. It will allow for up to four Legs.
3. Leg information is entered manually.
4. Depth information is also a manual entry. The “TMD” value is used by the new Frac Summary Report to
calculate the Horizontal Length (TMD minus MD of Intermediate
Hole). These values will also now display on the project’s Daily
Report (see below).
5. If Leg data is Locked, changes made to the leg in the field will not
apply in the office.
Changes to Daily Reports for Multi-Leg Wells
The Daily Report for Multi-Leg wells will now display Multi-Leg data in the
area that previously showed Perforation data. Clicking in this area will open
the Project Summary page to allow for changes or additions.
Changes to Well Control/MACP
It is now possible to accurately calculate MACP for Horizontal wells by using the TVD field.
1. Horizontal and Directional wells will disable the Landed at field (greyed out).
2. Vertical wells will disable the TVD field (greyed out) and use the Landed @ field.
3. The resulting MACP calculations will be determined by the orientation of the well.

Changes to Rig Schedulers
Surface Location is now being displayed in the
Tool Tip box.
Changes to Operated/Non-Op Designation
The Operated/Non-Operated status of a location is now set at the Project level rather than for the entire UWI.
Individual projects on a common UWI can have a unique status.
Other Updates
New PDF Print Driver
- A newer version of the PDF Print Driver is included that provides for more reliable creation and bookmarking of Partner reports and End of Project reports.
Online Help Files and Videos
- The Help files for Wellman and a large variety of Help Videos are now being accessed Online and can be viewed at: http://www.resourceenergysolutions.com/support/howtos
- Clicking the “Help ?” button at the top of any Wellman window or form will open the user’s default browser directly to the above link.
Diskless Installers/Updaters - We have reworked our Wellman field installers to reduce their size so they can now be
downloaded in the field. The Wellman Full Install is now just 100MB and the Update 75MB. This is down from the previous 1.4GB of our previous installers. Sending field users a download URL (to be provided by RES) can greatly reduce the cost and logistics of getting physical media into the hands of the field. It also allows more control over when a field user can install an update.
New SFTP Server
- Your 9.1 release includes a change to our SFTP relay server to make downloading and requesting projects in the field faster and more reliable.
