1980’s ,in 90’s this sector boost up.• Although recently workers wages raise,

Bangladesh is 2nd Garments manufacturer country in the world.

• From 1999 till about 2009 the growth in RMG sector was 5 to 2o% per annum. But in 2010 growth was 40%.I feel this growth will continue 30-40% per annum for next 5 years

• For last 20 years there has been democratically elected government and they handed over their power after completion full term. So there is a democratic consistency.

• Last few years major customers are from USA, Canada and Europe

• Recently Japan, Australia, Latin America, Russia are doing big volume & growth is quite high.

• With the emerge of strong middle class economy in China & India we are expecting big potential market also there.

A few words about the company

Unitex is one of the best garments manufacturing conglomerates in Asia.

It has a complete vertical integrated set up in woven, denim, knit and sweater with most state of the art machineries from USA, Europe and Japan.

It is a private owned company with an annual turn over of US $ 40 million and annual export is about US $ 30 million.

The company was establish in 2006.

Unitex has over 300 sewing machines distributed to 4 production lines including 2 Knit garment lines and 2 Woven Garments lines.

It produces over 7,000 pieces of garment every day. The production lines are broadly earmarked for Bottom , Shirt and Knit separately.

For varied range of fabric, shorter lead time, sharper price and consistent quality, we established own vertical set up in 2010, named as UNITEX ATTIRES GROUP.

New technology like compact yarn, producing high density fabric, wet sueding and different types of fabric finishing are done by our sister concerns.

We Produce lot of accessories and planning to cover all accessories item by 2016.

Raw Materials Strategy/Backward Linkage

Good machinery and Textile experts from home & abroad have been combined together to make wide range of high quality woven fabric for bottom, shirt & knit fabric.

Generally for 60% of our export, we import cotton only, convert and export finished garments.

We have established a massive project named Denim Area where we are producing Denim garments, Denim Washing, and different types of finishing in one complex. We can convert all its fabric into Garments and produce about 20000 pcs Denim Jeans and Jacket per day.

We have Product Development & Design Team located in Dhaka. They are in constant touch with customer and provide design & development support. Unitex, All units gets major direction from them and develop samples and fabric for the customers.
