Acts 3:16

• He was a poor lame beggar at the temple gate.

• He was born a paralytic cripple from his mother’s womb.

• His condition is designed to show us what we all are by nature spiritually.

Guidelines to provide a basis for building trust:

• 1. Be an encourager. If you don’t have something good to say, maybe you don’t have anything to say.

• 2. Learn to listen to and understand the feelings behind words.

• 3. Demonstrate genuine interest in activities of family members.

• 4. Be a trusted friend to your wife and children—those whom you are responsible for a head of the home.

• 5. Clearly communicate goals and plans that affect the family members and listen to their suggestions.

• 6. When giving direction or correction to your children, make yourself vulnerable to them and share how you overcame the same difficulty.

The Lame Man Healed by Faith

• By Christ, who is the author and finisher, gave him perfect health in the presence of many people at the gate of the temple, where the multitude passed to and fro.

A Child’s Faith

David, a 2-year old with leukemia, was taken by his mother, Deborah, to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, to see Dr. John Truman who specializes in treating children with cancer and various blood diseases. Dr. Truman’s prognosis was devastating: “He has a 50–50 chance.” His mom said, “If it hurts, remember it’s because he loves you.” David’s response was, Mom, I know that Jesus loves me and He will take care of me.The boy grew up and became a CEO of a large Contracting Firm.
