Christian Studies as a college requirement. You may transfer one course or three (3) credit
hours, but at least three (3) credit hours must be earned from Bluefield College. To meet this
requirement, the Christian Studies (CST) Department offers two three hour online e-SPIRE
courses: (1) Biblical Perspectives (CST 3103) and (2) Ethics (CST 4403) to meet this
requirement.
Before registering for either of these e-SPIRE courses, please review your advising
worksheet. This is your individualized Plan of Study to determine which course or courses
are needed to fulfill this requirement.
Each semester the registrar will e-mail all eSPIRE/inSPIRE Degree Completion students a
list of the e-SPIRE online semester course offerings. Please select from the CST offerings
provided.

Employer Payment
This is defined as the “Employer paying within 30 days of
class start date.”
The Bluefield College business office must receive a
written statement on official letterhead stating
full employer payment.

*Ultimately, the bill incurred by the student is the
responsibility of the student, should the employer
default in making payment.
9
What is the difference between employer payment and employer
reimbursement? (continued)
Employer Reimbursement
The student must pay Bluefield College either by personal
payment or by student loans at the beginning of each

It is important to note that the reimbursement agreement is
between the student and the employer.
Frequent Questions
10
What is the class attendance policy?
Core Classes are all online.
e-SPIRE Classes: A student taking an online class must login and post within the first five business days of the course to be considered enrolled. However, once a student posts to an online course it is he/her responsibility to drop the course by officially notifying the Registrar’s Office in writing. The last day to drop this type of course with a grade of “W” is by the end of the sixth week of the course. Please see slides 23 and 24 for financial responsibilities.
