Welcome to Portland State University ECE 221 Lab Instructor: Herbert Mayer ECE 221 LAB Section 1: Tuesdays 06:40 pm 09:30 pm Section 2: Fridays 03:00 pm 05:50 pm Lab Location: FAB (Tektronix Lab) Lab access :24/7 with Access ID badge(Student ID with lab access enabled) LAB TA : Avinash Bommineni Office Hours: Mon 11am to 12 noon, Fri 11am to 12 noon Lab Details 9 Weeks for labs, 5 weeks for lab equipment and software use, last 4 weeks for Op-amp project. Everyone should work with a lab partner. Start by reading the lab assignment. Detailed lab descriptions will be soon available on D2L. Reports must be turned in on D2L. If you have any issues with D2L you can e- mail before the deadline. Lab reports are due by midnight one week following the experiment Your presence in the lab session is must. If you cannot come to the lab session, tell your TA in person or by. ECE 221 Lab requires ECE lab tool box. The toolboxes are sold at the IEEE store(FAB 84-20). Inform TA or lab coordinator about an defective equipment in lab. Lab Tool Box Cost $190 for tool box, with IEEE membership $155. IEEE membership cost you $32. Lockers are available for rent and may be purchased at IEEE student store. The prices are $5.00 for IEEE members and $10.00 for non- members. Grading: Grading is done by reports and project. The lab counts as 20% of the lecture grade. Grades will be posted on D2L. Academic Honesty : You must report only your groups work and not use other students results or reports.Lab Rules: NO FOOD or DRINKS are allowed in the laboratory. Students are not free to move/remove laboratory equipment. When leaving the lab, students are required to clean up their workbenches.
