Streetscape Improvement

We’ll be commencing in-ground drainage works at the intersection of Jenkin Street and South Terrace in May. Access will be maintained during this time; however, at times traffic may be reduced to one lane.

What to expect during this time

Traffic management will be in place at all times to facilitate safe traffic movement. The drainage works will include installation of new pipework, replacement of damaged soak wells and installation of new drains.

The drainage upgrade is to prepare for the next section of the South Terrace streetscape improvement. Design inspiration for this section is the mosaic outside The Meeting Place, part of a community-led bush tucker art project launched in 2008.
