Cavalli Estate is set in the heart of the Winelands within 110 hectares of meticulously farmed vineyards and indigenous gardens. The Estate, with exquisite views of the Helderberg mountains, is renowned for it’s modern and luxurious architecture and gardens, all of which uphold a commitment to sustainability. Cavalli Estate is the first Green Star rated restaurant and exhibition space in South Africa!Located conveniently on the R44 highway between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, the estate has been designed to accommodate events of any scale or nature.

THE MAIN FUNCTION VENUE

The function venue is characterized by its contemporary and neutral design, able to be adapted to the style of your event, with adequate space to seat 350 people or 300 people with a dance floor.

The floor to ceiling sliding-glass doors afford gorgeous natural light, ventilation and views o ver the water towards the breathtaking mountains of the Cape Winelands. The venue has a world - class sound and lighting system including an overhead data projector and motorised 3.8 metre wide projector screen with VGA patch connections for laptop presentations. A fully integrated Crestron touch panel AV control system with dedicated audio via BOSE professional equipment ensures the ability to adapt the sound and lighting to any requirement.

THE LAWN

Overlooking the dam, in close proximity to the main f unction v enue and s unken g arden, is the lawn a rea. This space is suited to wedding ceremonies orpre-dinner sun downers and even meets the size requirements as a helipad, perfect for a dramatic entrance! Overlooking clear waters and stunning mountain views, this area is ideally situated to witness the african sunsets over Table Mountain. The Pre-Drinks Lawn is included in themain function venue package.

SUNKEN GARDEN

The sunken g arden is a formal, hedged space situated adjacent to the m ain function v enue. The green enclosure is the perfect space for a n outdoor wedding c eremony or pre- reception drinks with live entertainment. Th e space seats up to 300 cinema-style or 400 people standing and is equipped with connection points for a bedouin tent which is available for hire. The Sunken Garden is included in themain function venue packages.

CONSERVATORY

This intimate venue enjoys a unique setting, right on the water’s edge. The glassed enclosure takes full advantage of the stunning views, over the dam to the Helderberg Mountains . The area accommodate s 150 guests cinema-style with the backdrop behind the ‘altar’ position being a 60 year old Fuschia Pink Pride of India tree that blooms abundantly over the summer season.

This Conservatory space is perfect for up to 70 guest s seated banqueting style to enjoy a private lunch or dinner. We also offer the space as a wedding venue for up to 50 guests including a dance floor. The conservatory is included in the main function venue package s and can be conveniently separated into 3 separate rooms if required . (No Audio Visual equipment provided.)

CAVALLI RESTAURANT

Winner of the Eat Out Style award, the restaurant is characterized by striking design elements including a custom faceted bar clad in copper and signature pendant lighting by European design companies Marset and Foscarini .

The stone, steel and glass architecture sets itself against the organic landscaped elements and panoramic views, making the space ideally suited to the discerning client seeking a more intimate venue for up to 100 guests.

PARKING & SECURITY Cavalli Estate has abundant parking and guests can have peace of mind that the estate has full perimeter security, CCTV throughout the venue and a full complement of security guards.

TIMES & SOUND RESTRICTIONS

All venues are available from 09h00 until midnight on the day of the function. The Client may request that the event be extended after midnight for which an additional hourly fee of R3,000.00 will be levied, for a maximum of 4 hours. Staff rates are additionalto this. Due to liquor licence requirements, the bar closes at 02h00.

Music louder than 35db is not allowed in the sunken garden, grass area, or terrace. Music in the main function hall may only be increased from 80 dB after 10pm.

CATERING

* Cavalli Estate has a diverse menu of choices designed by Head chef Michael Deg to suit your budget and dietary requirements. Our banqueting cuisine is renowned as some of the best in the industry with a focus on authentic, yet refined dishes.

* Prices are subject to change due to seasonal fluctuations. You will be notified in advance shouldthis occur.

* Please note our minimum catering spend is R500 per person

* Your choice of menu will need to be confirmed 30 days prior to your event.

*In the event of any special dietary requirements due to religious beliefs, we work with only the best Kosher and Halaal caterers in the industry.For full Kosher and Halaal catering, we will outsource it to our preferred supplier at an additional hiring fee of R8 000 for the use of our kitchen facilities suitable for food preparation for up to 150 pax.

SERVICE STAFF

A Cavalli venue manager will be present at all times during your function at a rate of R300 per hour to ensure your event is executed seamlessly. We provide an in-house barman to manage the bar service on the night plus a security personnel to direct the flow of traffic and parking. All additional staff is outsourced. We use professional waiters to ensure an excellent standard of service and as such a ll service and support staff will only be hired through staffing companies approved by Cavalli Estate.

Staffing can be arranged at an additional cost according to the following guidelines:

• 1 barman per 50 guests• 1 waiter per 10 guests• 1 staffing supervisor• 1 porter per 100 guests• After-hours surcharges apply after 00h00• Sunday and Public Holiday rates apply• We advise additional staff for set-up and break-down.• Cavalli will clean the venue before and after your event• Cavalli provides cleaners for the restrooms during your event. • Cavalli provides a venue manger on the day of your event to oversee purely venue related duties.

BEVERAGES

Cavalli Estate is fully licenced and will manage all your bar and beverage requirements in house and no other alcohol may be brought onto the premises.

We will require your final bar arrangements strictly 14 days prior to your event;

Our team will assist in determining a bar estimate and a beverage deposit needs to be paid in full 7 days prior to the event. In the case of additional beverage consumption please note that a credit card payment will be required to settle the bill upon the day.

As part of our liquor licence regulations our bar will closeat 02h00.

CO ORDINATIONIt is compulsory to appoint a coordinator to over-see your event. We are happy to refer you to our preferred parteners in the industry upon request.

SITE VISITS

Site inspections are by appointment only. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays 09:00 to 14:00 on appointment only

BOOKING THE VENUE

Once a date has been requested and is available a quotation for a provisional reservation is generated and valid for a period of seven days. In order for the booking to be secured we require the contract and quote to be signed and returned to us, along with the proof of payment of the 50% deposit. Prices are subject to change until payment of the deposit and the signed contract are received.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

A R10,000.00 refundable breakage deposit is required for any shortages, damages or breakages. This is due 2 weeks prior to the event, the balance of which will be repaid following the event.You will be held responsible for any breakages or loss caused to the venue during setup and breakdown of the event as well asduring the course of the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Regrettably, should the confirmed booking be cancelled, the deposit will be forfeited.
