What is Advisory? Advisory is a place where students get to connect with Inspire, make friends that will last throughout their four year journey. It is a place where individuals contribute to the culture of Inspire and therefore our community. Together we make a difference!

Advisory is a place where students are welcomed, feel save and are encouraged to open up and be themselves. A place we can call home.

The main focus in advisory is Community Building and Academic Support. Along the journey we help guide and shape a positive and healthy learning environment, along with a sense of good morals and values, in order for students to become good members of society,

Student Expectations Respect each other and our learning environment. When someone speaks we all listen.

Keep food outside the classroom please. Come prepared, organized, and on time and ready to contribute. Please keep electronics

stowed away. To collectively own problems and collectively solve them. To commit to hearing all voices, especially the dissenting voice. Speak up, you matter. When discussing and individual or a situation, we seek a positive solution without hurting

the feelings of others.

Prepare ahead and know what you will be working on. Students can work in partners and our small groups as needed.

SIP- Short Intervention ProgramA new intervention program has been put into place in order to support students who are falling behind on their path to graduation. Students will be referred by specific teachers and will be pulled out of Advisory until they are cleared from SIP.

House Cup Competition:Each year all grade level Advisories will be involved in a friendly competition towards the House Cup - Honor, Family and Pride.

A series of challenges will take place throughout the year.

The Advisory who wins within their grade level will compete against the other 3 winners of all other grade levels in the House Cup Final in April.

The winning Advisory will take the cup “Home” and keep it for a year,

Advisory ScheduleAdvisory meets 4 times a week; Monday through Thursday. Advisory is a 35 minute period.
