Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him all creatures here below;

Praise Him above ye heavenly host, Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

The Call to Worship

Minister: I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord!” Our feet have

been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem! (Psalm 122:1-2)

People: For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in

the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Psalm 84:10)

Minister: For the sake of the house of the Lord our God; I will seek your good. (Psalm 122:9)

People: They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.

Minister: O Lord, I love the habitation of your house, and the place where your glory dwells.

People: But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him. (Habakkuk 2:20)

Minister: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight,

O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)

People: O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things! I will sing of loyalty and

of justice, to you, O Lord, I will sing. (Psalm 98:1,4)

AME Hymn #559—Rise Up, O Men Of God

1. Rise up, O men of God! Have done with lesser things; Give heart and mind and soul and strength To serve the

King of kings.

2. Rise up, O men of God! His kingdom tarries long; Bring in the day of brotherhood And end the night of wrong.

3. Rise up, O men of God! The Church for you doth wait, Her strength unequal to her task, Rise up, and make her

great!

4. Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where His feet have trod; As brothers of the Son of Man, Rise up, O men of

God!

The Responsive Scripture………………….……………………………………………………………………...……………Bro. David Banks

Galatians 3:23-29

Minister: 23 Now before faith came, we were imprisoned and guarded under the law until faith would be revealed. People: 24 Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith. Minister: 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a disciplinarian, People: 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

Minister: 27 As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

People: 28 There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

ALL: 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise.

The Preface to the Decalogue………………………………………………………….…..“From All That Dwell”

From all that dwell below the skies, let the Creator’s praise arise; let the Redeemer’s name be sung, through every land by every tongue.

The Summary of the Decalogue……………………………………………………………...Bro. Khamisi Walters

And Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your

mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.

Rev. Keith Llowellen Basil Links

Ordained in 1999 as Deacon and in 2001 as Elder served 1998-2000 three years at

Phillip R Cousins @ Blue Downs, Cape Town; 2001-2006 six years at Trinity, Touws

River; 2006-2008 three years at St Joseph, Paarl; 2008-2011 three years at Sims

Chapel, Montagu; 2011- present at Zion AME Church, Worcester, South Africa, the

largest church in the 15th Episcopal District under the leadership of Bishop David R.

Daniels, Jr. Zion celebrates their 120th Anniversary Celebration in 2019.

For the past eight years we have been busy with a feeding ministry. The church does not receive any

financial assistance from the government or any other. At Zion we are proud to serve a hot meal to ±

250 under privilege children in the Worcester community on a daily basis from Monday to Thursday.

Through this ministry we managed to invite 105 new catechisms for the year 2019. We have a strong

youth membership that is actively involved in church - Allen Christian Fellowship (83 Youth Members) ,

Sunday School (153 Members – Aged between 4-18 years), YPD (45 Members), Liturgical Dancers are

clustered in 3 age groups (Toddlers – 14, Juniors – 16, Young Adults – 15), Ushers (26 Members),

Praise & Worship (12 Members), Good News Club (25 Members

As the Director of the 15th Episcopal District Christian Education Department which consists of Angola,

Namibia, Kalahari, Queenstown, Eastern Cape, Boland and Cape Conferences, he is inspired to serve

in the teaching ministry of the Church.

“I feel humbled that God chose me to fulfil His duty on earth. So if I can uplift and encourage the Chris-

tian Education in the church and especially among young people I feel satisfied. They inspire me to do

more and to give more of myself.”

When asked “what resource (other than the Bible) have you found most useful in your teaching ministry?

His response was “William D Watley, Doing Church, Vol 1&2, practical guide, by those who do it… New

Season Press, Newark, New Jersey, USA, 2010. This book is a practical guide on how to better the

church you serve. Empowering yourself to empower the youth.”

From the vantage point of his Episcopal District leadership position, to inspire youth to be consistent and

pro-active in church are things he sees as the greatest current challenge in Christian Education because

youngsters are easily influenced and it becomes increasingly difficult to keep them actively involved in

church. He feels church should be their safe haven.

From the same vantage point, his greatest hope for Christian Education is to be humble and serve these

youngsters with dignity and pride. They are the future of the church and if we can develop leadership

skills and encourage Christian values the future of the church is secure.

Rev. Links is married to Karmen Michelle Links and they have three children—Victoria-Lee, Keithan and

Keith Jr.
