Food waste is one of the major issues in our country. Composting of biodegradable material is a big help in our environment like reducing the waste and turning it into something useful by means of recycling. The researchers proposed to create a prototype that will convert food waste into compost materials as soil conditioner in less possible time. The project includes the processing of food waste whose weight is defined by the system and will undergo grinding, mixing and releasing of output to the container. The process continues until the three main essential factors, Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium (NPK) needed for good fertilizer were satisfactorily achieved. The project also includes the integration of an odor neutralizer which will be used to neutralize the harmful odor that will be generated while the compost is being processed. It will get a sample of gas and detect the presence of chemicals such as Sulfur Dioxide, Methane and Ammonia. MQ sensors are used to detect these kinds of gases. The sprayer containing a neutralizing agent will spray to counteract the identified gases. To quantify microcontroller is also used in the system to convert the values of the gas detected from analog to parts-per-million(ppm). The data shows the results of the evaluation conducted for the project which obtacompactness, while for effectivity it is stated as a compost or soil conditioner.
