Student Engagement and Academic Success leads student success initiatives. We inspire students to identify
and utilize the power within them to be independent learners, successful scholars, and contributing members
of society at and beyond Saint Mary's College of California. The campus community recognizes and values our
holistic, strengths based approach to promoting academic excellence and student achievement.

High Potential Program (HP) - Shar
Since 1973, the High Potential program has welcomed students from
diverse backgrounds, including low-income and first-generation college
students, into higher education. HP provides a range of services and
individualized support for students.
The High Potential program is designed not only to provide access, but
to foster student success by drawing on the strengths and resiliency of
first generation and/or low-income scholars and leaders as they
transition from high school to college and beyond.
