WELCOME To the first edition of What’s Happening at Wecon Systems “WHAWS” newsletter for the year 2017.

Unless you enjoy the winter season and what it typically brings, the “early” winter season has provided

us with a break with no substantial amount of snow or cold weather. This allowed for uninterrupted

travel during the Christmas season. Due to year end commitments, several of our employees main-

tained an extremely busy schedule up to our Christmas and New Year’s break. We thank them for their

efforts. These efforts did not go unnoticed by our customers who were able to minimize down time

during this hectic time of the year. By reason of when the holidays fell this year, we were fortunate to

be able to observe an uninterrupted break between Christmas and New Year’s. We hope you had a

great Christmas break and are ready to begin another successful year.

New business opportunities have grown and have continued to develop this past year. We will be re-

turning to a couple of larger projects that are expected to wind down early in the New Year. We wel-

come all of our new business associates. To all of our customers and suppliers, thank you for support-

ing our requirements and allowing us to satisfy your material handling needs. If you have any ques-

Our Annual Christmas Celebration This year’s celebration took place at 17 Steakhouse and Bar in Mississauga. They provide an upscale

dining experience specializing in prime cuts of beef in addition to offering a variety of alternate choices

to satisfy most appetites in a welcoming environment. The ambiance is congenial and inviting, provid-

ing patrons with surroundings that are both charming and appealing. Where most establishments find it

a difficult chore to accommodate us due to the size of our group, we were seated in a private room that

allowed for an uninterrupted and private celebration. The serving staff were more than accommodating.

For our pleasure they put together an assortment of various starter dishes for our enjoyment prior to

bringing out the main meals. 17 Steakhouse and Bar put together a special menu for Wecon and pro-

vided an assortment of food choices to satisfy all appetites. If you are looking for somewhere to hold

your next corporate event, please give them a call.

On Going and Completed Projects

The mechanical installation and commissioning of a conveyor system and cross belt sorter supplied by

a third party is drawing to a close at the new distribution center for a group of companies that represents

a major Canadian retail business division north of Toronto. Wecon has provided the implementation and

installation services for this equipment at these facilities.

The installation of equipment at a retail distribution facility in Brampton continues. We were contract-

ed by our business partner TGW Systems to provide the installation and commissioning at this facility

on their behalf. Changes to the scope of work has generated additional work for our installation crew

based on our past performance with this customer.

We have been awarded the mechanical and installation services for a conveyor system at a retail hard-

ware distribution facility in Western Canada. The installation of this equipment should begin early in

2017.

We have a significant amount of used 24” and 30” nominal width lineshaft conveyors and 30” nominal

width sliderbed conveyors in our used equipment inventory. This used equipment is refurbished provid-

ing the customer with a comparable product at significant cost savings over the purchase of new equip-

New Team Member -

Inside Sale Coordinator

Due to our workload and to further promote our name

in the material handling field we have added a new

member to our team of qualified individuals. Hany

Abboud has now joined us and has become the newest

member of our sales team. His mechanical engineer-

ing and technology background brings new strengths

to complement our team and to support our customer

requirements. Hany has been spending time with our other sales professionals learning our ways and

has been called upon to provide support where ever needed. Hany can be reached through the office at

A Site Tour In appreciation of our team’s efforts and commitments, we were asked by our customer if we would

like to take a tour of the new facilities housing the conveyor system and equipment we were instrumen-

tal installing and commissioning throughout this past year. The event took place on November 4, 2016

at the new Distribution facilities north of Toronto. It gave us a chance and the opportunity to see the

magnitude of the project Wecon is more than capable of undertaking. Several of our team members

have spent in excess of a year at these facilities ensuring the customer receives a smooth and trouble-

free transition once the facilities have been turned over. We thank them for their efforts. In addition, it

provided the team a chance to see the extent of our capabilities and a well-deserved break from the day

to day activities of their daily routines.
