Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid will be sharing some of the most fascinating and moving

human interest stories, interviewing those people who have found themselves at the centre

of these astonishing incidents and getting right to the heart of the story.

Good Morning Britain  will also have all the political news and headlines throughout autumn.

May’s first few months as Prime Minister. GMB’s US correspondent Jerry Springer will share

SUSANNA REID

What are you looking forward to the most about being back on our screens after the

summer?

Susanna: “I can’t wait to be back on the GMB sofa reporting on all the breaking news stories

of the day. I really enjoy how our viewers interact with us on Twitter throughout the

morning so I’m looking forward to hearing from them. It’ll also be great to catch up with all

the team after the summer holidays and of course see my fabulous cohost Piers Morgan!”

Who would be your ideal sofa guest for September?

Susanna: “I would love to have Barack and Michelle Obama on the GMB  sofa. Also since

we’ve spoken to Donald Trump on the show I’d love Hillary Clinton to come on at some

point too.”

What has been your most memorable show so far this year?

Susanna: “The morning of the EU referendum result was a particularly memorable show.

We stayed on air an hour extra, until 9.30am, bringing our audience the breaking news and

biggest stories of the morning. I also questioned Nigel Farage on one of the Leave campaign

promises that £350m in savings from leaving the EU would go to the NHS. He said this

wasn't going to happen during the interview and footage from the interview was shared on

social media millions of times."

                                                         **************

Weekdays from 8.309.30am

Monday 5th September will see Lorraine launch a new strand called Kelly’s Heroes.

Each week Jake Quickenden will be live on a deserving viewer's doorstep surprising

them with a Kelly's Hero award and more. Also from September, Lisa Snowdon will

be launching  'Lorraine’s Hot Pants’  a nationwide search for a new model for a male

underwear campaign. Also live each morning there will be the usual mix of

extraordinary reallife stories and showbiz guests, along with the latest overnight

showbiz news from home to LA with insiders Dan Wootton and Ross King.

Also in autumn, Nadia Sawalha debuts a fresh

food feature,  Nadia's Family Feasts. In the

Lorraine  kitchen chefs will have simple, inspiring

recipes cooking live each morning and there will

also be a sprinkling of food ‘hacks’ and advice.

Mark Heyes will be back with his pick of

musthave and hottest fashion trends for the

autumn as well as his usual style steals and deals

for shopping online and on the high street.

Alongside The Pulse, this autumn, viewers will be

able to make an appointment to speak to Dr

Hilary live in his new ‘Open Surgery’.

LORRAINE Who would be your ideal sofa guest for September?

Lorraine: “My ideal sofa guests aren't always the big A listers although obviously I love

talking to my favourites, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. Often it is viewers who have done

something incredibly brave or life changing, or have made a difference. I would, however,

dearly love to interview Amal Clooney to find out what it is like being married to George and

how she has taken to her new life of worldwide stardom, while still being a successful

lawyer in her own right.”

What are you looking forward to the most about being back on our screens?

Lorraine: “I enjoy the the interaction with viewers, finding out what they enjoy, what they

want from the show and getting their opinions. I also love all of my fabulous gangs, on

screen and behind the cameras. You are only as good as your team, and my team are the

best of the best.”

What has been your most memorable show so far this year?

Lorraine: “That's a tough one. I enjoyed our week long special with a live audience of

viewers in the studio. I also was beside myself to interview former astronaut Buzz Aldrin. I

watched him walk on the moon when I was six years old and it was just incredible to meet

him in person.

“I also found it very moving to talk to Alison Ross live on the show on the 20th anniversary

of the Dunblane massacre where 16 little children and their teacher were shot dead in the

local primary school. I first met Alison when she was just a little baby when I spoke privately

with her mum Pam, whose elder daughter Joanna, was one of those shot dead aged just

five. I've kept in touch with the family ever since and watched Alison grow into a lovely

young woman who now has a baby of her own.”
