Newsletter Issue 22 23rd July, 2019 Term 3 Week 1 Welcome Back We hope everyone had a great holiday and a restful break. Our school is always such an energetic and happy place to be when students return from their holidays and catch up with the staff and teachers. Our students have made an enthusiastic start to the term and they are certainly demonstrating the effective learning quality “Be Your Best”. We saw some high quality work produced today. It is always a joy to see our students so proud of the efforts in learning activities. Delungra Athletics Carnival The Delungra Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 1st August. We will only have students from our school competing on the day. All infants students will be included in athletics events and all students will compete in the high jump on the day. Our infants students will participate in modified field events to build their knowledge and skills. The P & C will cater for lunch. Price List: Sausage Sizzle $2-50 1 slice of bread, onion & sauce Sausage Sizzle & Popper $3-50 Popper $1-00 Tea/Coffee and cakes will be available for morning tea. For catering purposes could you please complete the attached lunch order for students and parents to give us an idea on quantities to order. Payments for lunch will be at the carnival Donations of cakes and slices for morning tea would be greatly appreciated. Please return the attached order form no later than Monday 29th July. Crazy Hair Fun Day On the last day of term 2 we had a crazy hair day. Students had a great day with their crazy hair and odd socks and also enjoyed the lunch provided by the P & C. Thankyou to everyone who was involved for their efforts in helping our students celebrate the end of a busy and productive term. Lost Property Box We have a collection of lost property including hats, jumpers and a jacket which do not have any names in them. If your child is missing any items we have a box in the Library. Please ask at the Office to reclaim any missing items. NAIDOC Celebrations This years NAIDOC theme is Voice, Treaty, Truth. Our major NAIDOC activity will be an excursion to the Myall Creek memorial site. During this excursion students will have Kelvin Brown who is a representative of the Friends of Myal Creek guide a tour of the Myall Creek memorial site, participate in a smoking ceremony and explore the NAIDOC theme. This excursion will compliment our in class activities and the infants class geography unit of important places. Welcome Back

We hope everyone had a great holiday and a

restful break. Our school is always such an

Delungra Athletics Carnival

The Delungra Athletics Carnival will be held on

Thursday 1st August.

We will only have students from our school

competing on the day. All infants students will

be included in athletics events and all students

will compete in the high jump on the day.

Our infants students will participate in modified
