Description of Love

4. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

5. does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

6. does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

7. bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8. Love never fails.

Does not mean “believes all things”

A person falls for everything he is told

1 Jn.4:1 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit”

1 Thes.5:21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Ready to accept what the evidence supports

Keep an open mind

Ready to believe whatever ought to be believed

Mind open to receive all truth
