Director Tourism DIPK: 5716 (M&W) Srinagar A/S Weighing sacred movement with jobs, benefits deceitful acts: Hurriyat G Freedom loving people can never be cowed down by such appeasing gimmicks’ Srinagar, Sep 23: Hurriyat Con- ference (G) termed as “appeasing gimmicks” the employment and other incentives by government to the people especially youth saying “weighing this sacred movement with jobs and other benefits is noth- ing but deceitful acts of imperialis- tic mindset.” Spokesman of the Hurriyat (G) in a statement said, “Indo-Pak subcontinent is looming under the dark shadows of a possible human catastrophe as a result of persistent and institutionalized denial of the basic human rights and freedom loving people can never be cowed down by such appeasing gimmicks. People are justified to work for livelihood even in forced control. But India’s jingoistic politicians considering even this as a favor sarcastically try to humiliate us as a nation,” the spokesperson said. “Let India end this forceful and unwanted forcible control, we assure them that nobody from us will ever approach them for any perk and privilege. Our nation has been forced into the undemo- cratic and unethical subjugation and is fighting it for the last seven decades, leaving our three gen- erations brutalized and maimed. The persistent denial of this grave humanitarian crisis by India from beginning has led to the political as well as social turbulence and insta- bility making the whole populace frightened and depressed,” he said. “Whenever there is uprising for our basic and fundamental rights, India labels it as cross border infil- tration and terrorism, making a lame excuse to curb it by force, thereby slaughtering and mowing down thousands of people and wiping away almost generations together,” the spokesman said. “The peaceful demonstrations are not allowed and by the mischie- vous and wicked intents, forces make them violent to buy an excuse for use of force and then sell it to the national and international commu- nity. Doing so they have devoured about 90 precious lives so far in two and a half months, with hundreds blinded and thousands crippled by bullets and pellets. Despite this bloodshed, Indian rulers and their local puppets pretend to be blind and are unwilling to perceive and acknowledge the motive behind these unending atrocities,” he said. Elaborating, the spokesperson said “weighing this sacred move- ment with jobs and other benefits is nothing but a deceitful acts of imperialistic mindset. During the last 70 long years struggle, India has been able to nourish a good number of political predators in the shape of pro-Indian hatchery, who have time and again rescued them whenever their illegal control was threatened, but they will never suc- ceed in wiping away the freedom sentiment from people here.” Commenting on the Indo-Pak bilateral talks suggested by some countries and forums, Hurriyat said, “When there is arrogance of power, deceit and deception, pre- varication and fabrication, worst and unbelievable human rights vio- lations, the bilateral trust deficit touches new heights and above all, when there is no acknowledgement and recognition of the dispute, even if talks take place on daily basis, they will fail to yield any results as we are witness to 152 bilateral exercise of such talks.” The spokesperson condemned slapping of PSA on human rights activist Khuram Pervez and his shifting to Kotbalwal jail Jammu. “The International community should come out of the cocoon of economic relationship with India and try to understand and realize themselves that behind the mask of so-called democracy India is doing everything undemocratic. To silence activists like Khuram is nothing but a desperate and frus- trated attempt to put a blanket on the state crafted and orchestrated gross violation of basic human rights, but these inhuman acts have never been able to put a lid on barbaric and heinous crimes by the state,” the spokesman said. Geelani condemns Rafiabad youth’s killing Srinagar, Sep 23: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani has condemned the killing of 22-year-old Waseem Ahmad Lone of Nadihal Rafiabad by the forces. “Hollow and tall claims of restraint by these forces are aimed at befooling the common people and testifies that their lust for blood has not suppressed yet,” Geelani said in a statement. JKLF condemns forces’ action against pro-freedom camp Srinagar, Sep 23: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has con- demned what it termed as “police action” against pro-freedom leadership and booking of several youth under Public Safety Act. In a statement, JKLF spokesperson said “deten- tion and arrest by police to prevent protests, house arrests, nocturnal raids and harassment are signs of frustration of authori- ties. We condemn slapping of PSA against innocent youth and their shifting to outside jails,” the spokes- person said. The spokesperson con- demned continuous deten- tion of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Showkat Bakshi, Muhammad Altaf Shah, Masarat Alam Bhat, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Abdul Ahad Para and youth across Kashmir. “Malik sahib has been lodged in JIC Humhama despite suffering with heart and kidney ailments. Mir- waiz Umar Farooq contin- ues to be under arrest at Chesmashahi sub jail. PSA has been slapped on Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Ayaz Akbar and Khuram Parvez who has been shifted to Kot Balwal jail,” it said. “Forces raided the house of in-laws of JKLF senior leader Muhammad Yasin Bhat and detained his two brother-in-laws Mehraj-u- Din Shah and Khalid Ahmad Shah. They were lodged in police camp situation in Air Cargo. JKLF activist Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Beehama Ganderbal has been booked under PDA. He is lodged in Srinagar Central Jail,” the spokesperson added. New Delhi based news channels keeping people in dark: MLA Langate Unresolved Kashmir question mark on UN’s credibility: Hilal War Srinagar, Sep 23: Chairman of People’s Political Party (PPP), Hilal Ahmad War today said unresolved Kashmir has put “question marks on the credibility” of United Nations. “I urge UN Secretary General to implement UN Plebiscite Resolutions on Kashmir. The unimplemented 18 UN plebiscite Resolutions on Kashmir have been passed from time-to-time but not implemented is the sad commentary on the existence and relevance of U.N. “Unresolved Kashmir issue is a Nuclear Flash Point and is causing a constant potential threat to Nuclear War hovering over the whole subcontinent which can engulf the whole world at any point of time, and is real threat to International peace and security. There- fore, to avoid any likelihood of war, it is obligatory for UN to intervene in Kash- mir in order to maintain International Peace and Security under Article 1 of UN Charter”, War added. Don’t victimize youth by slapping PSAs: Tarigami to Govt ‘Repression is bound to worsen situation’ GK NEWS NETWORK Srinagar, Sep 23: Con- demning “indiscriminate slapping” of Public Safety Act (PSA) on youth in Kash- mir, senior CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Muham- mad Yousuf Tarigami Friday urged the government to ensure that “they are not victimized by this law.” “In most of the cases, the Act is being slapped on the youth without grounds being sustentative and valid which is generating resentment and anger among the masses who already feel deeply alienated. The random arrests being made across the state have germinated more mistrust and anger among the people especially the youth. It should be stopped and harassment of the people be put to an end,” Tarigami said in a statement. “The atrocities committed on the protestors and dam- ages caused to residential houses by security forces is worsening the situation and making it more complex. CPI (M) is of considered opinion that in order to resolve the long pending issue, a cred- ible and structured process of dialogue with all stake- holders has to be initiated urgently,” he said. “Repression is bound to worsen the situation fur- ther. Whatever the pretext, it has to be stopped. The Uri incident cannot be an excuse for heightening oppression against the people,” Tari- gami added. Srinagar, Sep 23: Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) chief and MLA Lan- gate Er Rashid on Friday hit out at New Delhi based news channels saying for “keeping Indians and Kashmiris in dark.” In a statement, Er Rashid said “on one hand these channels claim that Pakistan is a ‘failed’ state and has been ‘left isolated’ in the world community. However, if these channels and pseudo intellectuals and political and defence analysts sitting in cozy studios truly believe so, they should explain why they have been discussing Pakistan round the clock in their debates since last 10 days.” “If Pakistan has been left iso- lated and nobody gives ear to its alleged rhetoric propaganda may one ask these TV channels what forced them to telecast (Pakistan Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharief’s speech live from UN General Assembly in New York,” Rashid said. “It proves guilty conscience in minds of Indian anchors, rulers, experts and analysts and is ample evidence to read India’s frustration viz-a- viz Kashmir. Indian TV chan- nels, each of whom claims to be no.1 TV channel in India, have never ever discussed the speech of any Pakistani ruler with such interest till date. Even the nega- tive campaign being carried out by these TV channels makes an average common Indian to think that there is something serious wrong going on with India and it is turning very difficult for Indian state to defend a very weak case over J&K in United Nations,” he said. “These TV channels just show one side of the drama that is being displayed in New York and to justify their poor and pseudo jour- nalism they are trying to keep Indians and Kashmiris in dark. The neutral reports confirm that UN Secre- tary General Ban Ki-Moon was left shocked after going through hor- rible and terrifying pictures and videos of atrocities of Indian state in J&K and the so-called national- ist media doesn’t even want to talk about it,” he said. “Neither Indian army nor the media have, so far, revealed where were four militants buried, who army claimed to have carried Uri attack,” Rashid said. Don’t victimize youth by slapping PSAs: Tarigami to Govt‘Repression is bound to worsen situation’

Srinagar, Sep 23: Con-demning “indiscriminate slapping” of Public Safety Act (PSA) on youth in Kash-mir, senior CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Muham-mad Yousuf Tarigami Friday urged the government to ensure that “they are not victimized by this law.”

Srinagar, Sep 23: Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) chief and MLA Lan-gate Er Rashid on Friday hit out at New Delhi based news channels saying for “keeping Indians and Kashmiris in dark.”

In a statement, Er Rashid said “on one hand these channels claim that Pakistan is a ‘failed’ state and has been ‘left isolated’ in the world community. “If Pakistan has been left iso-lated and nobody gives ear to its alleged rhetoric propaganda may one ask these TV channels what forced them to telecast (Pakistan Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharief’s
