On the walls of the Main Shul are mounted 11 tablets

bearing memorial plaques, representing a permanent

and dignified memorial to loved ones. AT YIEB, now in

its 38th year, we keep the lights lit on either side of

the plaque each year during the full month of the

Yahrtzeit and also when we recite Yizkor on Yom

Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, Pesach and Shavuot. The

and there are time when members in our community

blocks entrance for emergency, utility,

sanitation, and adult care vehicles, limits

4. Do not park by the entrance to the street as it

blocks the entrance into the development and

Camp HASC

Shalom,

My name is Yonatan Sklar and I am helping to spread

awareness for the upcoming concert benefiting Camp

HASC and Aleh. It is right around the corner and we

would like to invite your community to this event

taking place on August 21st at 7:30 at the State

Theatre.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from ticket

sales and sponsorship will support the sacred work of

Camp HASC and ALEH and their work for the special

needs population.

I am certain that your teenage and community

members have been positively impacted by the work

we do here at Camp HASC and would like to extend

the opportunity to both enjoy a beautiful concert while

Federation Accepts Teen Applicants for a New J Team

Class

The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey is

accepting applications for the 2016-2017 J Team

Teen Philanthropy program. A select group of 9th-

12th grade students meet monthly throughout the

school year to learn about philanthropy, meet

representatives of nonprofit agencies, engage in

community service and make charitable donations -

all with a focus on core Jewish values of giving. The

teamwork approach to philanthropic giving makes

this program a win-win for our community's teens and

nonprofit agencies and gives teens the tools to begin

a life of giving.

organizations to fund. At the end of the year, team

members decide together which programs will receive

funding, and how that money is allocated to those

ISRAEL MISSION 2017

Ahavas Achim invites you to join the Goldberg family

on our 15th annual Israel Mission, from January 18-

January 30, 2017. The mission will include roundtrip

non-stop flights on El Al Israel Airlines from Newark, 8

nights at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel, 2 nights at the

Carlton Tel Aviv, 3 day touring excursion with

experienced guides, full Israeli breakfast daily, two

dinners in Tel Aviv, Friday night and Shabbat lunch on

Team AY 2016

Please join Team AY for a 10 week training program

that started on 7/3/16. Group walks and/or runs

start every Sunday morning at approximately 9:15AM.

The program will culminate in Washington, DC on

Sunday, Sept 18 with the Navy 5 Miler & Half

Marathon (13.1 miles). Registration is $55 and $100

respectively and goes up on Aug 1st. Required pace is

a 16 minute mile so even beginners can do it with the

proper preparation & motivation provided by Coach

SEEKS DISPATCHERS AND RESPONDERS

Responders:

"Tomorrow's Technology for Today': We are looking to

get a few first-responders to become EMTs. These

individuals would carry a two-way radio, AEDs, Epi-

Pens, oxygen/trauma equipment, etc., and would be

dispatched by Hatzolah in Edison. The responders

need to be male, 18 yrs old, shomer torah umitzvos,

and of a proper hashkafa. The EMT course is free,

and runs Tuesday and Thursday nights near Deal from

6pm - 10:30pm, from July - December. If there are

people who are doctors, nurses (male), etc., who are

interested in responding, they are able to as well. They

just need to take some in-house training in certain

skills such as splinting, etc. Day and night members

are both needed. Preference given to those are can be

both. Since the class is starting next month, concrete

answers need to be given on attendance, ASAP.

Dispatchers:

Additionally, we are seeking male or female people to

do dispatching. Available shifts are 12am-

6am Sunday-Shabbos, Sunday 6am - 9pm, and Friday

from 9am - Licht Benching. Shifts may be divided, but

a minimum straight period of at least 3 hours is

required. Requirements for dispatching is CPR/First

aid at minimum, but dispatchers may be doctors,

nurses, etc. Those that pay for their training, and

remain in good standing for at least a year are eligible

for reimbursement.

provide orphan and destitute kallahs in Israel with

essential needs. Donated custom sheitels, some

brand-new, some gently worn, are sold to women in

towards a hachnasas kallah fund which helps needy
