Market Day Thanks for your Market Day order this month! We are looking forward to seeing you when you pick up your order on Wednesday, 2/16/11 between 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Reminder: If you cannot make the sale before 5:30 please send your Market Day payment and we will hold your order. Please direct any questions and concerns to Mrs. Conda or Ms. Moore at 773-264-2174. Magic of Another Color The CPTA will present “Magic of Another Color”, again this year Friday, February 18 at 6:30 P.M. in the school gym. If you enjoyed the show last year, you are in for a real treat this year. TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE - Adults $10.00, Students and Children $8.00.

CPTA would like to remind anyone who already purchased their tickets to hold on to them. Those tickets will be accepted Friday, Feb.18.

Don’t forget this event is open to friends and family so invite as many people as you can! There is open seating, get your tickets early, so you will not miss this night of amazement and fun with the family!!

Doors open at 5:30 P.M. and refreshments will be available for purchase. Free - Free Style Friday CPTA would like all of the students to wear their favorite walk-a-thon t-shirt or another kind of t-shirt Friday, Feb. 18.

Tuition & Day Care Tuition and day care payments for February are due TODAY. We would greatly appreciate if payments can be brought to the school office. Please remember that the school depends on prompt payments by our parents. Thank You! PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!! Parents, we are conducting a Prayer Campaign for our school. During the month of February, at the beginning of each school day (8:45 a.m.), we will have a guest Pastor to come to the school office to give the opening prayer over the P.A. System. Would you consider asking your Pastor to come to our school to pray? He or she can call the school at (773) 264-2174 to schedule a day. With all that is going on in the world today and every-thing our children are facing, we need to send a clear message that prayer is what changes things and with God all things are possible. Snow Days - School Make-up You might be wondering about making up the days missed due to the snow - Here is where that stands! Because we have longer school instructional hours each day, we will only be making up one of the three days. Instead of a full day for Parent-Teacher Conferences on March 25, we will have a full day of school on March 25. Students who usually get hot lunch will receive a hot lunch on that day. Re: Parent-Teacher Conferences – they will be from 4 - 7 p.m. on the 25th - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY . Appointment means: Parents who call the office and request a meeting time between 4PM and 6:45 PM with the time and teacher you would like to meet with.

Parent’s of 4th-8th Students: Please encourage your child to enter the African American Essay Contest. The top three essays will win $10 gift cards. All entries must be in by Wednesday the 23rd. Look at Mr. Dykstra’s School Notes for official rules.

PHONE-A-THON The annual RCS Phone-a-thon is a great fund-raiser for the school. Last year, it generated over $400 for each of the students in school. These funds allow us to keep tuition rates lower for all of us. Please join us in making phone calls to alumni and other supporters. This year’s Phone-a-thon will take place on February 21, 22 & 23, 2011 from 3 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. on each of those days. We need 15 volunteers for each session to make calls using a script. If you can-not be there for the entire shift, we appreciate any time you can spare. We will be calling from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights. Make it more fun by asking a friend or a spouse to join you. Supper will be served at 6 p.m.
