Week beginning 8.06.2020 – Reception
Complete these activities over this week. You can complete them in any order you wish! These activities are based on the theme of ‘Living things in their environment’. Subject Phase 3 PhonicsPhonics Watch the Phase 3 phonics ‘ow’ video then:
1. Can you practice writing the sound ‘ow’, then write it in the word and then write the word to match the pictures.2. Can you work out which words are real, which are nonsense? Colour code these.3. Can you find the words with the ‘ow’ sound in the story? Can you read the story yourself or with some help from a
grownup?
Handwriting It is really important to form our letters and numbers in the correct way.1) Write over the top of each of the letters of the alphabet. Have you formed your letters correctly?2) Look, say, cover, write numbers to 10. Write over the numbers and write them again next to the correct number.

Writing 1) Watch the video by Mr Arthur2) Write 1 or 2 sentences about each picture – stretch the sounds in each word, count the sounds, write the number
of sounds you count. Use 1 or more tricky words in each sentence
