I have enjoyed reading every single report and learning more about each child in terms of their learning and also interests, and learning styles. Entry to School Grounds Just a reminder to all parents and visitors to our school site that it is a privilege and not a right for you to come onto the school grounds. child in terms of their learning and also interests, and learning

styles.

Cookie Dough and Entertainment Book

Don’t forget to get your orders in for The Cookie Dough

by this Friday. It’s a great way to not only be able to bake

cookies quickly, but you are also supporting the

fundraising efforts of the P&C. You can also still order

your entertainment book and save lots of money in time

for the school holidays. You can see a sample of the book

at the front office.

CWA

The Country Women’s Association has again donated

$100 to the Library for new books that relate to Italy,

which was the focus for this years Country project. Well

done to all the Stage 2 and 3 children who completed a

project.

Thoughts are with Damien

Out thoughts and best wishes go to Damien in S1B and

his family. Damien was diagnosed last week with a form

of Leukaemia. We are hoping for a speedy recovery and

look forward to seeing his happy smiling face back at

Hobartville. We will be having a fundraising event next

term.

Healthy Food

Next term we will be focussing on healthy food before

school. No snacks or chips will be sold at the canteen to

have before school. We will also be discouraging parents

from sending them to school as snacks for breakfast .

Long Service Leave

A number of staff have or will be taking long service leave

over the remainder of the year. The class program will be

followed by the relief teacher.

Kindergarten 2016

We are taking enrolments for Kindergarten 2016 at the

front office. Please see the office ladies for further

information.

We hope all the children and families have a lovely 2

week break. School resumes on Tuesday 14th July.

In the lifetime of the project, with the support of many people

they have sent more than 120,000 new, high quality books to

over 230 remote communities. The ILF also runs an early

literacy project called Book Buzz, which puts board books into

the hands of babies, toddlers and their families. The Foundation

has published and funded more than 40 community books, some

of which are translated into first language.

Please help us support their work!

NAIDOC Day at Hobartville Public School

On the 17th of July we will be celebrating NAIDOC Day at

Hobartville. The day will include a range of activities for all

students to gain a better understanding of the Aboriginal

culture and it’s values. We are also holding a book swap which

will require students to bring in a pre loved book in good

condition and a gold coin to help raise funds for the Indigenous

Literacy Foundation.
