What is Readistep?
A Pathway to the Future
Helping Increase Your College and Career Readiness
The College Board’s College and Career Readiness Pathway is a series of integrated assessments that help measure your college and career readiness from now through the 12th grade.
How Can Readistep Help You?
Readistep helps you by providing:
Early Indicators of your college readiness
Tools to help improve your skills
Planning for your transition to high school
Resources to help you identify career interests
Information to help your teachers and counselors adjust your courses
What’s on the test? No essays or open-ended questions
Three multiple-choice sections
• Reading Skills:
• Reading Passages and sentence completions
• 40 minutes, 45 questions
• Writing Skills:
• Identifying errors and improving grammar and usage
• 40 minutes, 50 questions
• Math Skills:
• Questions on operations, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability
• 40 minutes, 36 questions TOTAL
• 20 minutes (18 questions) with calculator
• 20 minutes (18 questions) without calculator

These test scores are very important because it is the first score that the high school counselors look at when determining your readiness for a particular class.
What Happens on Test Day?
Test Day: Wednesday, October 16, 2013
When the bell rings, report to your assigned testing room (There will be signs posted in the hall all week so check prior to test day to see where to report.)
You will only need pencils and erasers. Backpacks will be stored in the back of the classroom. You will turn off ALL electronic devices and your teacher will hold on to them during testing.
Testing will occur during 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th periods.
After Testing you will report to C Lunch and then go to 5th period.

Testing Room Procedures
You will only be allowed to have a calculator, pencil and eraser at your desks.
You will only be allowed to use a calculator during the Mathematics Section 3A
You CANNOT work on anything or read anything if you finish a section early. You will sit quietly until the start of the next section.
If you leave the room the time does not stop and you will not get extra time to finish

Watch alarms
Cameras
Dictionaries (including electronic)
Books/Kindles
Papers of any kind
