During his tenure as Prime Minister; the economy was in a great shape-the GDP rate was above eight per cent, inflation was below four per cent and foreign exchange reserves were overflowing, he added. He further elaborated the ambitious roads projects he launched-the Golden Quadrilateral and the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. Bali Bhagat, while welcom- ing the people who joined BJP, said that we have 65 per cent population of youth and they have a very important role in making the mission of Narendra Modi to make India lead the world in 21st century. Briefing media persons here on Tuesday, Chuni said that PoK DPs are fed up of the brutal approach of gov- ernment to resolve the issues of the community who have been starving for the last 70 years and living under inhu- mane conditions as govern- ment has failed to provide much needed justice for the foremost victims of State who took first ever bullet in order to save the existence of this erstwhile princely State. "The Chain Dharna marks main key issues related to PoK DPs in which imple- mentation of PoK DPs pack- age passed by NC-Congress Cabinet in 2014 in toto, implementation of uniform policy for all the migrants/displaced commu- nities including PoK DPs, establishment of corridors for PoK DPs to visit their religious places and shrines located in PoK, restoration of 1/3rd i.e. eight seats lying vacant for PoK areas in Legislative Assembly, inclu- sion of 5,300 DPs families living outside the J&K State in the ambit of package for PoK DPs and return of cash deposits of PoK DPs laying in the J&K Bank, Mirpur Branch", Chuni revealed. Chuni further said that SOS International has been writing for seeking time from Governor for the last three months but no response has been received so far. SOS International in its last press conference has warned the government of playing dirty gimmicks against PoK DPs but the spree did not end therefore, we have launched this Chain Dharna. SOS International Chairman further said that government always works for the cause of Valley Migrants as Government has enough time, enough money and liberal policies for them all the time but it doesn't have such things for PoK DPs. Chuni said that PoK DPs from all over the State and outside the State will partic- ipate in this Chain Dharna protest to express their grief and aggression against the government, the Dharna will start at 11:00 AM and will end at 3:00 PM daily. STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: A week-long health awareness pro- gramme was commenced here on Tuesday by Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch and the Samba District Branch with the kind support of Reena Chaudhary, Sarpanch at Panchayat Ghar, Pangdour, Samba. The camp on health related matters is being held under the supervision of Senior Orthopedician, Dr. Bias Dev and Dr Anuradha, Senior Gynecologist (GMCH, Jammu). On the first day of camp, around 100 people were pro- vided free medical consultation and medicines by the team of Red Cross. On the sidelines, Health and Hygiene Awareness Camp was organised in two schools of the Pangdour, Samba in which around 200 students partici- pated. Jahangir Mir (Ex-Minister) who expired on Tuesday morning at

his native town Poonch. He was 85. President JKPCC, Ghulam

Ahmed Mir expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise

of Haji Abdul Kabir. In his condolence message, Mir described

him as a great social worker who remained associated with the
