INDONESIAN CONTEMPORARY ART & DESIGN (ICAD) 2019: FAKTOR X

Jakarta, October – Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design (ICAD) is now back this year with a new theme ‘FAKTOR X’, located at grandkemang Jakarta. This art exhibition will be opened for public for 6 weeks from 16th of October until 24th of November 2019.

grandkemang Jakarta is pleased and proud to announce that this year, we, once again will host this spectacular art exhibition. Kemang itself is seen as a hip and trendy area and attracts a lot of artists, fashion designers and the international jet set, so as a logical consequence, there is no better place than to host ICAD in our Hotel.

ICAD will invite various artists and designers to use the 'mind mapping' method in tracking their work processes. These artists and designers are considered important and have made major contributions in the development of Indonesian contemporary art and design in the last twenty years, including Adi Purnomo (Architect - Jakarta), Agus Suwage (Artist - Yogyakarta), Nirwan Dewanto (Sastrawan - Jakarta) , Dolorosa Sinaga (Artist - Jakarta), Hadiprana (Interior Designer - Jakarta), FX Harsono (Artist - Yogyakarta / Jakarta), Hardiman Radjab (Artist - Jakarta), Rinaldy Yuniardi (Fashion Designer - Jakarta), Syahrizal Pahlevi (Artist - Yogyakarta ), and Tisna Sanjaya (Artist – Bandung. One of the main programs at ICAD 2019 is giving awards to creative actors that are considered important and have a big contribution to the development of the world of design and art contemporary in Indonesia.

Besides displaying works of art and design, ICAD also holds various conventions from the fields of art, design, and film. ICAD will also hold a marketplace for the first time in ten years, which showcases the work of talented artists and designers.
