Guidance Corner

CHILD SAFETY MATTERS: This year our students have been introduced to a new curriculum through class guidance, called Child Safety Matters. This research-based, primary prevention education program is designed to educate and empower our children with information and strategies to prevent bullying and all types of child abuse. The program is delivered through a script and power point that includes videos, games, movement and activities. So far, our 2nd – 5th graders have been educated through the program and during the months of April/May our Kindergarten and 1st graders will also take part. To find out more about this state-wide program or to preview it, please go to www.mbchildsafetymatters.org or call Ms. Harrison at 547-3787. All kindergartener and 1st grade students will partake in the program unless a parent completed an OPT OUT form that was sent home.
