We LOVE Israel! This time of year is filled with important Israel holidays. We share which ones are

coming up and what they are about![Page 4]

“Several years ago I had substance abuse issues. I came home from a bar, turned on the TV and saw

Daystar. I was ready to give up, but I just decided to say, “I surrender all to you God.” Since then I have

been drug and alcohol free - sowing seeds into Daystar and trusting God to completely lead and

guide me every day. Thank you Marcus & Joni for all the awesome programming. I look forward to

watching Daystar every day because it is such a blessing to learn so many Christian things.” –Teresa

Dear Partners & Friends,

What a great Fall Sharathon we had! Tens of thousands of faithful partners from around the world responded. Joni & I are so grateful for your support.

It takes “faith” to make a pledge, and it takes “obedience” to pay a pledge. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land!”

So I want to encourage you to start paying on your pledge. And as you are faithful, God will provide what you need and more...

Remember, because Daystar blesses Israel, when you bless Daystar, you are also blessing Israel! Genesis 12:3 says, “I will bless those that bless Israel!” That means that as you bless Israel through Daystar, God is going to send blessings upon you and your family!

I hope that you enjoy the original programming that Daystar produces:

“Marcus & Joni” “Joni Table Talk” “Reflections” “Gospel Music Showcase” “Check the Sound”

I want to personally invite you to one of the services Joni & I are ministering at this month:

September 15 – Shreveport Community Church, Shreveport, LA – Pastor Denny DuronSeptember 19 – T. L. Lowery Ministry Center, Cleveland, TN – Dr. T. L. LowerySeptember 21-22 – Lord of Hosts Church, Omaha, NE – Pastors Hank & Brenda Kunneman

Joni & I just celebrated our 31 year wedding anniversary. And Jonathan & Suzy just celebrated their 2 year anniversary. (By the way, Mr. Israel Elisha Lamb is now 11 months old!)

Joni & I love and appreciate you very much. Thank you for your love and prayers. That means so much to us. If you have any prayer needs for yourself, or your family, please put them in the enclosed envelope and we will pray and believe God with you!

Blessings,

Marcus D. LambFounder/President Daystar Television Network

The Blood of Christ has spiritual power to bring hope and reconciliation to today’s very needy world. It is because of the blood of Jesus Christ that we have the great privilege of pouring our hearts out to God (Psalm 62:8), casting our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7), and praying any time and any place in the power of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18). So great is the gift of His shed blood that we are compelled to share his love with others

in need. As New Testament Christians we are deeply committed to the Gospel of hope and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be caring agents of reconciliation. As ‘Ambassador’s on Christ’s behalf’, as Paul posited, we focus our spiritual and financial resources on America, and on places like Israel, India, Africa, Ghana, Guatemala, Philippines, and other areas around the world. What is needed is clear enough. We must reach out to those who have yet to accept Christ

as Savior, to those alienated from the church, to the victims of man-made and natural tragedies, and to the families rent apart by divorce and violence. Under the blood, we picture ourselves kneeling under that large killing tool called the cross with a beggar’s bowl singing, “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

We are now only two months away from the 2013 Refreshing Times Conference, and the excitement is definitely growing around here! It’s important to register and let us know if you will be coming this year! We are so excited about all of our speakers as well as our special music guest Fred Hammond along with the Daystar Singers and Band. Our Saturday morning speaker will be none other than Daystar’s very own Marcus Lamb! As the founder and president of Daystar, Marcus is a sought-after minister and conference speaker, as well as a familiar face to most of you. I can’t wait to hear the message he has prepared for his session – I know it’s going to be empowering and inspiring! Saturday night’s speaker will be Jimmy Evans of Marriage Today. Jimmy and his wife, Karen, are extremely passionate about restoring and preserving marriages in America. Together they host a

national television program called Marriage Today, which is also aired on Daystar. We are so excited to have Jimmy with us for Saturday’s session, and are looking forward to his encouraging message. B l E S S I N G T H E H o l o C A U S T S U r v I v o r SDuring Daystar’s recent trip to Israel, we spent some time visiting with the Holocaust Survivors living in Daystar’s House of Hope. Rachel Lamb says, “I will cherish this picture forever. This man was one of the fortunate to escape Poland during the Holocaust. He is now 91 years

young and living in Daystar’s House of Hope! What a true blessing to meet such a brave man!”

Because of your generous giving, we are able to reach out to Holocaust Survivors like this brave man through Daystar’s House of Hope in Israel. Your contributions and support are truly making a difference in the lives of these very special people. Thank you partners for your continuing support of Israel!

ISRAEL HOLY DAYS!Holidays are not only days of celebration to the Jewish people, but are often days of remembrance, reflection, prayer, fasting, and they can be somber occasions as well. All are based within the rich context of Jewish history, and steeped with meaning and significance. Here are a few of the most important holidays observed in Israel:

SEpt 5-6 20131. ROSH HASHAnA: Known also as the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana is a two-day celebration beginning on the first day of Tishrei, the first month of the Jewish calendar.

SEpt 14 20132. YOm KIppuR:Also known as the Day of Atonement, the Jewish people refrain from working, eating, driving, etc., and spend the day in prayer for the atonement of their sins from the year.

SEpt 19-25 20133. SuKKOt:Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, is a seven day celebration commemorating the 40 years spent by the Israelites wandering the desert before reaching the Promised Land.

nOv 28 – DEc 5 20134. cHAnuKAH: Also known as Hanukkah, this holiday is an 8 day celebration commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, and is observed through lighting the candles of the Menorah.

mAR 16 20145. puRIm:This Jewish holiday commemorates the deliverance of the Jewish people after Queen Esther pleaded with King Xerses for their lives, and is one of the most joyful Jewish holidays.

ApR 15-22 20146. pASSOvER:This important holiday commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Eating unleavened bread, just as the Israelites did during their exodus from Egypt, is one way in which this holiday is observed.
