We would like to thank the Clearwater Police Department for all they do and are so happy to have them there, especially on holiday weekends. We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4 th of July! Sincerely, Darlene Kole President/CEO Clearwater Beach Chamber Of Commerce Weekly Update Newsletter June 28, 2017 Greetings! There is always a lot going on our beautiful beach. Even though we are a small island, it is hard to believe so much can be taking place from end to end. Just last week Hooters celebrated 5Years on the Beach and it was also the first event where the idea of forming a local Clearwater Beach Area Concierge Association (CBACA) was discussed. The Tropics Boat Tours threw a groovy 80's Party, the 7 North Pinellas County Chamber of Commerce's had a tradeshow and now we are all gearing up for a busy 4 Th of July weekend! There is always so much going on behind the scenes of Clearwater Beach. We would like to give a shout out to the City of Clearwater for all that they do to keep our beach safe and clean, which would not be possible without their outstanding commitment. Not only do they rake our beach every morning so our guest can enjoy our World Class beach, but we have lifeguard stations, trash cans, showers, and lockers for our guests too. More importantly, the City's Police Department is watching over all of us for our safe keeping. We want to protect our guest from harm, but we also need to watch over our business from harm too. We have a zero tolerance of anyone trying to fraudulently take advantage of our businesses and our visitors.
