Since January 2017 Fintiba has been sup-porting international students on their way to Germany by providing them with tailor-made solutions for the visa application, study pre-paration, university enrolment and the daily life in Germany. A proof of sufficient finan-cial means and health insurance coverage are important prerequisites for a stay abroad. Fintiba offers a digital blocked account and health insurances which are customised to the students‘ individual needs and official-ly approved by the German Federal Foreign Office. By using the services of Fintiba the students receive the necessary proof of fi-nancial resources and the required health insurance coverage all in one go. Blocked Account - Financial Proof
To issue a visa for Germany, a proof of adequate financial means is required. This implies that the student needs to be in the position to secure living expenses for the period of studies in Germany. At the time of application for a visa the students need to prove a monthly allowance of at least € 735.00 for the first academic year of the studies (in total € 8,820.00).
The easiest way to do so is by opening a Blocked Account in Germany. A Blocked Account is a special form of bank account, which is used by students to demonstrate proof of sufficient financial means to afford their studies in Germany. With Fintiba students can open the account completely online and in the fastest way possible. Duration and blocking amounts can be set according to the requirements of embassies or local foreigners authorities. Mo-ney which is deposited in this account cannot be withdrawn until the arrival in Germany to secure financial stability.
Fintiba Basic makes opening a Blocked Account as simple as it gets, with as little bureaucracy as possible.

Every person who wants to study or work in the Federal Republic of Germany is required to prove sufficient finan-cial means and health insurance. Otherwise, a visa will not be granted and there will be no enrolment at a German university. According to German law § 5 paragraph 1 Nr. 9 Sentence 1 SGB V, all students are required to obtain sufficient health insurance coverage for the duration of their studies.
The Fintiba Plus package fulfils all requirements for financial proof and health insurance coverage in one solution. The package includes a digital blocked account as well as an individual compilation of health insurances consisting of incoming, private and/or governmental health insurance. Based on only a few information from the students, we tailor the package to their individual needs.

The online Blocked Account can be opened wit-hin only a few days and is officially approved
by the German Federal Foreign Office.Plus: In addition, the required health insurance
is included in the ‘Fintiba Plus‘ solution.
To open the Blocked Account the students only need their passport. After the account has been opened in the name of the student, the required blocked amount can be transferred.
After reception of the required blocked amount, the online blocking confirmation which includes access information to an online platform for the respective embassy or consulate will be issued.Plus: The health insurance confirmation will be
issued simultaneously.
The students can now apply for their visa or residence permit for Germany at the local em-bassy, consulate or foreigners authority.
Should the local authority either require an increased monthly sum or a minimum balance,
the blocked balance can be adjusted easily.
After receiving the visa, the students can travel to Germany.
The payout of the monthly amount will be transferred to a German current account. This account can be opened at any bank of choice in Germany.
Plus: Upon arrival the needed insurance docu-ments for the stay in Germany and enrolment at
university will be issued.
Depending on the legitimation status,the students can now either:
1) complete the legitimation or 2) set up the payouts right away.
The monthly payouts can now be set up in the Fintiba WebApp to receive the agreed amount automatically on a monthly basis.
