Description
Salmonella can be spread by
raw, dirty, unclean water and food.
It is transferred by the fecal oral route.
How it attacks
Usually people from 3rd world
countries are affected the most, because of the feces in the water. It affects people with worn immune systems, elderly and young people.
Victims
It is found in uncooked foods, and
in the feces of animals. Inside the body, it is found in the intestinal tract.

Injuries
Salmonella T. had dangerous effects like
Typhoid fever- constipation, sore throat, headaches, rash on chest, and slowed heartbeat.
Bacteremia- infection travels to bloodstream affecting the spinal cord
Reiter’s symptom- uncommon, but can cause early arthritis, eye irritation and UTI

There are 14 cases per 100,000 30,000 in U.S. yearly
Number of Victims
Usually clears up without treatment, but re-
hydration maybe needed through an IV If you have a more serious infection it may be
treated with ampicillin, gentamicin.
Weapons
The cells are changed in the
intestines to release more water, which causes the diarrhea.
Cell Change
People with Salmonella T. usually
feel the effects for three to seven days, then it usually goes away.
Was named after the discoverer Daniel Elmer Salmon.
