WHAT WE ARE PROPOSINGWe are investigating to develop a solar farm on land near Baringhup. The project is on approximately 300ha of farm land used for cropping and grazing. The site has excellent exposure to Australia’s abundant solar resources, making it an ideal location for a renewable energy project.
Environmental impact assessments have been commissioned with expert consultants who are carefully assessing the impact of the solar farm. These studies include surface water, landscape and visual impact, transport, ecology (flora and fauna), economic benefits, glint and glare.
PROJECT TIMINGThe project is in the assessment, design and consultation phase with environmental impact surveys ongoing. RES anticipate submitting the Development Application in 2018.
