Important Facts about RHS:

The graduation rate increased 8 percentage points from 2011. This is a huge gain. Most of the other high schools in the state remained flat. The percentage of RHS students meeting or exceeding on OAKS has already surpassed last year's numbers with three more months of testing to go. The Career & Technical Education (CTE) program is one of the largest in the state. We offer: Automotive Technology, Metals, Woodworking, Building Construction, Engineering, Computer Science, Early Childhood Education, Culinary Arts, and Graphic Design. The Fine Arts Department is also one of the best in the state. We have a state-of-the-art Arts & Communications Building which houses a truly impressive auditorium. We offer a wide array of instrumental music, choral music, drawing, painting, theater, and other fine arts classes. RHS referrals, suspensions and expulsions have all dropped precipitously this year. We are keeping our students in school, and RHS is safer now than ever.

We regularly receive positive feedback from visiting administrators at sporting events about how well-behaved our students are. Monthly Latino Family Nights started this year. We have a very strong relationship with our families and seek input as well as offer a wide array of parent education options. Food and childcare is always provided. Advanced Placement (AP) classes in a variety of subject areas. Most of them will earn students both high school and college credit at the same time. We also offer Honors classes for most of our core subject areas, beginning in the freshman year. Students will not get bored in their classes here at the high school because they will be challenged at their level.

Project Lead the Way will begin in the fall with our first class offering in the area of Engineering. We  are  excited  to  be  adopting  this  program  which  prepares  students  for  a  careeer  in  engineering,  computer  science,  and/or  medical  technology.
