• Do not use this appliance for functions other thanthose described in this instruction booklet.

• After removing the appliance from its packaging,ensure that it is complete and undamaged. If indoubt a professionally qualified electrician orcontact Vortice*. Do not leave packaging within thereach of children or infirm persons.

• Certain fundamental rules must be observed whenusing any electrical appliance, including: a) nevertouch appliances with wet or damp hands; b) nevertouch appliances with wet or damp hands; c) neverallow children or infirm persons to operate

appliances unattended.• Store the appliance out of reach of children and

infirm persons if you decide to disconnect it fromthe power supply and no longer use it.

• Do not operate the appliance in the presence ofinflammable vapours (alcohol, insecticides, petrol,etc.)

• Do not allow young children or infirm persons touse the appliance without supervision.

• Supervise young children to ensure that they donot play with the appliance.

• Do not make modifications of any kind to thisappliance.

• Do not expose this appliance to the weather (rain,sun, etc.)

• Regularly inspect the appliance for visible defects. Ifany are found, do not operate the appliance andcontact Vortice* immediately.

• If the appliance does not function correctly ordevelops a fault, contact Vortice* immediately andensure that only genuine original Vortice spares areused for any repairs.

• Should the appliance be dropped or suffer a heavyblow, have it checked immediately by Vortice*.

• The appliance must be installed by a professionallyqualified electrician.

• The electrical system to which the appliance isconnected must conform to applicable standards.

• The appliance is double insulated and thereforedoes not need to be earthed.

• The electrical power supply/socket to which theappliance is to be connected must be able toprovide the maximum electrical power required bythe appliance. If it cannot do this, contact anelectrician to make the necessary modifications.

• A multi-polar switch must be used to install theappliance. The gap between the switch contactsmust be no less than 3 mm.

• Switch off the appliance at the installation's main

switch: a) if the appliance does not function correctly;b) before cleaning the outside of the appliance, c) ifthe appliance is not to be used for any length of time.

• The room must have an adequate source ofreplacement air for this appliance to functioneffectively. Moreover, if there is any non-sealedcombustion based appliance such as a waterheater, gas stove, etc. in the same room, airreplacement must be sufficient for all appliances towork effectively together.

• The appliance must either exhaust or supply airdirectly to the outside/inside or into a short duct (inlength to ensure certified performance). Efficiencylosses will occur if the appliance is installed inducting subject to any appreciable back pressure.

• The air to be extracted from the room must be clean(i.e. free of grease, soot, chemical and corrosiveagents, and explosive or flammable mixtures) andmust not exceed a temperature of 50°C (122°F),(model 300/12” - 60 Hz - 40°C - 104°F).

• Keep the appliance’s inlet and outlet grilles free toensure an optimum flow of air.

The product you have purchased is a high-techVortice appliance consisting of an axial extractor fandesigned to expel air from small, medium-size andlarge rooms. The "LL" models have ball bearingsguarantee at least 30,000 hours of silent, trouble-freemechanical operation. All the models have splashprotection IPX4 and are thus ideal for installing inhigh-humidity environment. Maximum performance

and long life are ensured if the appliance is usedcorrectly in compliance with the following instructions.
