ZOE Tea for Life is a subsidiary of a major soft drink company looking to break into the organic tea market.
The target market consists of people from ages 20-45. With this in mind I developed an overall style of organic meets hipster.
The logo is organic in nature with rough edges and bold lettering. The leaves reach out towards the morning sky and the colors of green and rich brown complement the organic feel.

The stationery and all collateral is based around the logo. The logo with it's organic feel against the rigid bold center line, which mimics the iced tea bottle shape, gives the two elements contrast. The heavy center line also serves as an anchor for the logo.

This is a series of three ads which will be featured in publications that cater to the target audience of Zoe Tea for Life.
First ad is for a new drink made from a special “secret” formula of tea leaves.
“Back in Black” was chosen for the strong rock and roll reference while giving a sense of power to the drink.
This combination of slick packaging with an organic drink is what being organically hip is all about.

Second ad is a showcase of the iced teas Zoe Tea for Life is ready to launch into the market.
The vibe is candy and lipstick.
“Simply Irresistible” is a reference to all things sweet and it just happened to be a very popular song from the 80’s.

Third ad is the most organiclooking piece. Only the three flavored teas are featured.
The feel for this ad is elegant classic rocker.
All three ads show the brand as organically hip by balancing contrasting elements of the 80’s Pop-Rock culture with a modern flair and vibrant style.

Process
Design a web site that shows consistency to the brand identity and vibe of organically hip.
The web site uses the brown logo for the mark and also has a very elegant worldly feel to it.
I wanted to give the site a sense of dimension and surrealism by using the floating scroll throughout the site. The main attributes that needed to be met were: clear navigation, brand recognition, and clean composition.

Process
I researched the existing logo and company to get a feel of what needed to change and what to keep.
The first thing I did was to attach a symbolic figure to the existing logo and revamp the typography.
The symbol depicts a person reaching for the stars searching for knowledge.
This gives it a brand with which people could identify with. I also did a multi-use style logo to be used in various publications and advertisements.
The colors of the symbol are playful and bright.

This ad is for an exhibit featuring weapons of mass-destruction. The overall feel is of distress and strength.
The circular logo was used for this ad with a white background to really make the logo pop against all of the distressed artwork.

I designed the logo and name badges for each member of our team. This design was chosen out of six comps juried by my peers.
The logo reflects the bold and vibrant creativity of each of the individuals as one collective multi-media agency.
Bold colors and overlapping circles illustrate how the team worked as a unit.
Fusion is born.

I designed these graphic images to show how the rich media would be captured on four different widescreen televisions of the MHCC kiosk.
The main objective was to showcase the integration of Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Sound Design and Video Motion Graphics as a new program created at MHCC called Integrated Media.

The Fusion team decided to take a face-to-face approach in the marketing campaign. Thus, the mall kiosk was born.
The kiosk not only targets the intended audience, but also is a vehicle to show off the Integrated Media program to potential students everyday.
This is an illustration of the concept and the pictures are of a scale model I built to reinforce the graphics.

The concept:Relate the seasons to a time frame of an induviduals life from birth to death by only using expressions of the hands.
Each individual had an area of expertise and we worked as a team to accomplish our goals within a specific time frame.
My role was as the Team Lead Colorist and all Photoshop duties.

The song I chose for this project was“Folsom Prison Blues” by Johnny Cash.
I decided on a pine wood texture for the background. The woody texture lends a country feel to the project.
Layout was done in Illustrator and Photoshop then imported into Flash for animation.

Border CrossingInto Nepal to Bitamrod, then Ilam
After traveling for
several hours down
from the Darjeeling
Hills, we made our
way through Bagdogra
and on to the Nepal
border. By this time, it
was dark and we were
very tired and hungry.
The border crossing
procedure was very
odd...
After driving through
chaotic roads with
rickshaws, jeeps, mo-
torcycles and people
coming at our cars
with lightening speed
(how do they man-
age to not get into
crashes?) we came to
the border and saw
that it was darkened,
with hardly anyone
around. Apparently,
they turn off the elec-
tricity to save energy.
One by one, we all
went into a room
where the Nepalese
border officials were
sitting by candlelight.
It was an eerie feeling
as they looked over
our passports and
asked any pertinent
questions.
Since it was dark, we
had a difficult time
locating all of our
bags and getting them
transferred from the
Indian vehicles to
the waiting Nepalese
vehicles.
When we entered the
new cars, we noticed
that they put some
signs in the front
windows. Apparently
there is political strife
here as well, and by
placing this indica-
tor in the window
it would allow us to
roam freely without
the threat of police or
political party stops.
We did get stopped
several times, how-
ever, but our guide
was able to talk our
way through.
