We continueto provide screen printing of t-shirts at the Challenge Camp, though this was our last year of doing so as we pass on theresponsibility after 30 years of involvement. Our fund raising activities at the Country Club Mall inDecember were again very successful, selling wooden craftsand toys. Funds were donated to support the operation ofCamp Caillet. We have funded the rebuilding andlandscaping of the Gloria Caillet Memorial at the camp.Though we will continue to support the operation ofCamp Caillet, we will be doing so as volunteer helpersonly and will no longer be members of Scouts Canada. The last year has again been relatively quiet supportingother Scouting activities. As age creeps up on us all we will continue to meeteach month, but mainly as a social group.Respectfully submitted by Phil Brookman, GuildSecretary

The Guild members regularly attended 99th St. FrancisXavier group monthly Scout Masses, in addition to holdingour business meetings bi-monthly. We had a successfulyear. Thanks to the hard work of all our Guild members andsupport from the BC Guild Fellowship in supporting theevents we put together.

Peter Ng, Guildmaster

120th Baden Powell Guild

Our Guild was established in September 2016 with 20founding members, ranging in age from early twenties to well-seasoned senior members of 60 plus. Our current goals are:to support Camp McLean with fundraisers, assist with campimprovements and to have fun with a variety of socialactivities. While not all of our members are able to attend every time,we have enjoyed a busy and productive first year, withmonthly meeting and a variety of other events. Earlymeetings included a Halloween theme, establishing ourofficers and designing our own Guild logo wear. We havealso enjoyed a South Langley winery tour and dinner evening,as well as a hilarious outing to the Giggledam Theatre.Guild members eagerly assisted with the organization andexecution of Terry Campbell's "surprise" retirement party inthe spring. At the end of April, we hosted a very successful"1st Annual Potatoes Feed Fundraiser" at Port Kellis Hall.Definitely look for this event in 2018 and come and join us.As a result of a sizeable donation and our other fundraisingefforts, such as a clothing donation day, we were able toprovide $500 to the summer youth program at Camp McLean, new signage around the camp and funds top fence the rangerhouse at McLean. We finally managed to hold our investiture which wasattended by Dennis Kwan and included a potluck. All ourmembers are back for a new season and we look forward tomany more fun adventures.
